국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 성격 형성의 근간이자 전 생애에 걸친 인간 발달의 심리⋅사회적인 적응에 영향을 미치는 기질의 성인용 척도를 개발하고 타당화하고자 수행되었다. 연구방법: 선행연구 및 문헌분석, 전문가 검수를 통해 문항을 개발하고 성별, 연령, 지역을 균등하게 나누어 만 19세 이상 73세 이하 성인을 대상으로 예비조사 288명과 본 조사 912명, 총 1200명에게 온라인 검사를 시행하였다. 문항양호도와 요인구조, 모형적합도, 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하기 위해 SPSS 25.0으로 기술통계, 상관관계, 신뢰도 및 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하고, AMOS 23.0으로 확인적 요인분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과: 예비조사와 본 조사를 통해 확인된 ‘활동성, 행동억제, 긍정정서, 부정정서, 사회적 민감성, 의도적 통제’의 6요인 29문항은 매우 양호한 수준의 모형적합도와 내적합치도를 나타냈으며 타당한 수렴-변별 타당도 및 준거타당도를 확인할 수 있었다. 결론: 성인용 기질 척도(ATS)는 국내 성인의 기질을 측정하기 위해 개발된 신뢰롭고 타당한 도구로 확인되었으며, 만 19세 이상 성인의 자기이해와 다양한 연구를 위한 간명하고 효율적인 척도로 활발히 활용되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Objective: This study was conducted to develop and validate the adult scale of “temperament”, which is the basis of psychosocial adaptation and personality formation for lifelong development. Methods: A preliminary scale of 76 questions was prepared through prior study, literature analysis, and expert review, and 1200 adults between the ages of 19 and 73 were randomly stratified and sampled by gender, age, and region through an online questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, correlation, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were performed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 23.0, to verify the factor structure and item selection, model fit, reliability and validity of the scale. Results: As a result of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis of 30 items verified as good item quality, a total of 29 items of 6 factors including Activity Level, Behavior Inhibition, Positive Emotionality, Negative Emotionality, social SEnsitivity, and Effortful Control was a good model. It had goodness of fit and internal fit, and convergence-distinguishing validity and criterion validity were also appropriate. Conclusions: The Adult Temperament Scale (ATS) is a reliable and valid tool developed to measure the temperament of Korean adults. In addition, it is expected to function as a self-understanding tool for personal maturation after adulthood, as well as a simple and effective measure for various follow-up studies.
