국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 학교적응 프로그램이 경계선 지능 아동의 실행기능 및 적응행동에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 대상 아동들의 실행기능의 변화를 알아보기 위해 대상자간 중다 간헐 기초선 설계를 이용하였고, 적응행동의 변화에 대해서는 사전-사후검사를 적용하였다. 또한, 어머니 면담지를 이용하여 일상생활 속에서의 실행기능 및 적응행동의 변화도 알아보았다. 연구결과: 자폐 성향을 보이는 아동 A의 경우, 실행기능 중 반응억제 및 자기조절, 주의집중은 중재전 보다 감소하였고 조직화 및 시간관리는 증가한 것으로 나타났으며, 적응행동 중 사회적 적응행동은 감소하였고 개념적 적응행동, 실제적 적응행동은 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 아동 B와 C의 경우는 실행기능의 모든 영역에서 향상을 보였고, 적응행동 또한 모든 영역에서 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 학교적응 프로그램은 경계선 지능 아동의 실행기능을 높이고 적응행동을 증진시키는 것으로 결론 내릴 수 있으나, 자폐 성향이 있는 아동의 경우에는 반응억제 및 자기조절, 주의집중과 사회적 적응행동을 증가시키기 위하여 그들의 인지적 특성을 고려한 특별한 중재를 고안할 필요성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 경계선 지능 아동들의 실행기능 결함과 적응행동 기술의 부족에서 기인할 수 있는 많은 이차적 장애를 예방하고, 보다 성공적인 학교생활을 준비할 수 있도록 하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the school adaptation program on executive function and adaptive behavior of children with borderline intellectual functioning. Methods: To trace changes in their executive function, the multiple probe design across subjects were used in this study. And pre- and post-tests were applied to notice changes in the adaptive behavior. Results: The executive functions of reaction control, self-regulation, and attention concentration were lower than before the intervention in the case of child A with autistic tendencies, but systematization and time management increased. In addition, among the adaptive behaviors, socially adaptive behavior decreased, while conceptual and practical adaptive behavior increased. Children B and C improved in all areas in terms of executive functions and adaptive behaviors. Conclusions: The school adaptation program can increase and enhance the executive function and adaptive behavior of children with borderline intellectual functioning. However, it is necessary to put forward special intervention, taking cognitive characteristics into account, in order to increase the reaction control, self-regulation, attention concentration, and socially adaptive behavior in children with autistic tendencies.
