국문 초록

본 연구는 셉테드(CPTED)에 기초한 사회참여미술수업이 학습자의 공동체 의식 함양에 미치는 영향을 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 사회참여미술과 공동체의식의 문헌 조사 및 선행연구를 이론적으로 고찰하고, 셉테드(CPTED)에 기초한 사회참여미술수업을 설계하여 양적연구를 진행하였다. 연구대상은 서울특별시 송파구에 위치한 H중학교의 1학년 전체 학급 중 자유학년제 예술프로그램에 신청한 48명의 단일집단으로 선정하였다. 학습주제는 ‘어두운 우리학교를 밝히는 셉테드 디자인’으로 프로젝트활동 중심의 총 6차시의 수업으로 구성하여 적용하였다. 프로젝트 수업 이후 공동체의식에 대한 변화를 비교하기 위하여 정진경(1999)이 개발한 한국 공동체의식 검사지를 활용하였으며, 수업 사전·사후로 검사를 실시하여 학습자에게 어떠한 변화를 가져오는지 살펴보았다. 연구결과를 위해 수집된 자료는 SPSS Ver 25.0 통계 프로그램을 통해 대응표본 t-test를 적용하여 통계적으로 비교 분석하였다. 또한, 학습자의 인지, 심동, 정의적인 영역을 모두 평가하기 위해 활동지, 실기 결과물, 자기평가지 및 동료평가지를 분석하여 학습자의 공동체의식 변화를 종합적으로 도출하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구의 셉테드(CPTED)에 기초한 사회참여미술수업은 학습자의 공동체의식 함양에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였으며, 공동체의식의 하위영역 향상에서도 전반적으로 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 검증하였다. 본 연구를 통해 사회변화를 위한 사회참여미술의 교육적 활용 방안에 대한 논의가 활성화되며, 실제 학교 오프라인교육 현장을 시작으로 더 나아가 지역사회와 연계된 실천적인 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지길 바란다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to confirm the effect of social Engaged art class based on CPTED of learners sense of community. To this end, based on the theories from previous studies on Social Engaged Art and Sense of Community and quantitative research was conducted by designing a social participatory art class based on CPTED. The subject of the study was selected as a single group of 48 students who applied for the free-year art program among all first-year classes at H Middle School located in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The subject of learning was “Septed Design, which brightens our dark school,” and was applied to a total of 6 classes focusing on project activities. In order to compare changes in community consciousness after the project class, the Korean community consciousness test paper developed by Jeong Jin-kyung (1999) was used, and examinations were conducted before and after class to see what kind of changes were brought to learners. The data collected for the study results were statistically compared and analyzed by applying the corresponding sample t-test through the SPSS Ver 25.0 statistical program. In addition, in order to evaluate the learner s cognition, heartbeat, and affective areas, the change in the learner s sense of community was comprehensively derived by analyzing the activity sheet, practical results, self-assessment sheet, and peer assessment sheet. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the social participatory art class based on CPTED in this study had a significant effect on the cultivation of the learner s sense of community, and it was verified that it had a positive effect on the improvement of the sub-area of community consciousness. Through this study, discussions on how to use social participation art for social change will be active, and I hope that practical research in connection with the local community will continue, starting with the actual school offline education field.
