공동체 구술문화 이해를 위한 설화 향유 방법의 실제

국문 초록

이글은 현대의 설화 향유자들이 이야기판을 역동적으로 생성해 낼 수 있는 자발성과 진정한 이야기 주인으로서 설화 수용·전승·창조의 주체성을 회복할 수 있는 체계적인 방법을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 설화 수용 주체와 생성 주체를 설화 향유 대상으로 하여 각 주체의 설화 향유 방법을 제시하였다. 설화 수용 주체가 설화를 향유하는 방법으로는 설화를 듣는 즐거움과 함께 이야기판에 능동적으로 참여하면서 즐기는 법을 제시하였다. 기존의 ‘옛이야기들려주기’는 ‘어떻게’에 주목했다면, 이글에서는 ‘어디에서’에 주목하여 공동체 지역의 야외 공간과 실내공간에서의 향유 방법을 각기 달리 제시하였다. 공동체 지역 공간에서 설화를 능동적으로 향유하는 방법으로 ①공동체의 장소성을 지닌 공간, 즉 증거물이 있는 전승장소에서 관련 설화 향유하기 ②공동체 일상의 공간에서 그와 연관된 소재의 설화 향유하기 ③공동체 지역 공간에서 설화 체험을 통해 향유하기를 제시하였다. 실내공간에서 설화를 향유할 때는 설화 수용자의 흥미를 끌고 집중력을 높일 수 있는 설화 선정이 중요하므로 이글에서는 꼬꼬무 설화 구연에 적합한 설화 선정과 설화 수용자의 요구를 반영한 설화 선정을 통한 향유 방법을 제시하였다. 설화 생성 주체의 향유 방법으로는 설화 수용자가 설화 전달자·생성자로 성장해 나갈 수 있도록 점층적 단계의 방법을 설계하여 현장에 적용하였다. 설화 생성 주체의 향유 과정은 설화 이해→응용→창조 단계로 구성하였다. 설화 이해 단계는 ⑴설화 수용자가 설화를 듣고 설화에 흥미를 갖는 과정 ⑵원전설화의 서사 일부를 듣고 이어질 내용의 서사를 완성한 뒤 원전설화를 확인하는 과정이다. 설화 응용 단계는 ⑶원전설화의 서사단락 조각을 토대로 설화를 재생성한 뒤 원전설화의 서사구조를 확인하는 과정이다. 설화 창조 단계는 ⑷설화를 새롭게 생성하는 과정이다. 설화 생성하기 과정은 꼬꼬무 공동 생성하기에서 개인의 독자적 생성으로 이어지도록 구성하였다. 설화 수용자는 설화 이해→응용→창조 단계의 설화 향유 과정을 거치면서 이야기 구술문화적 특성을 체득하고 설화 전달자·생성자로 성장해 나갈 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to seek the spontaneity that modern folktale enjoyers could dramatically create the storytelling site and the systematic way to restore the subjectivity of acceptance, inheritance and creation of folktales as a true storyteller. In this paper, the method of enjoying the folktale of each subject is suggested through actual application case with the object that enjoys folktales directed at the subject of the folktale acceptance and creation. As a method of enjoying the folktales by the subject of acceptance, not only a way to enjoy listening to the folktales but also actively participating in the storytelling site was suggested. While the existing Storytelling the old story focused on how , this paper focuses on where and presents different way of enjoying folktales in the outdoor and indoor spaces of the community area. How to actively enjoy the folktales in the community s local space: ① Enjoying the related folktales in the space that has sense of place of the community, that is, the transmitting place where evidence is present ② Enjoying the folktales of the subject matter related to the daily space of community ③ Enjoying the place of community region through a folktale experience. When enjoying a folktale in an indoor space, it is important to select a folktale that can attract the folktale listener s interest and increase their concentration. There are two ways to enjoy the folktales by selecting appropriate folktales to narrate the folktale with form a tailback( Kkokkomu ) and reflect the folktale listener s needs. There is a way to select the suitable folktale for the storytelling the story with form a tail back and to enjoy the folktale that reflects the listener s needs. The method of enjoying the folktale by the generative subject was applied to the field by designing the steps gradually so that the audience could grow as a messenger and producer of folktale. The process of enjoying the folktale by the generative subject was largely composed of three stages: understanding the folktale, application, and creation. The understanding stage of folktale is a process in which (a) the listener is interested in the folktale while they are listening the folktales and (b) listen to some of the narratives of the original folktale and confirm the original folktale after completing the narrative that will follow. The applying stage of the folktale is (c) the process of regenerating the folktale based on the fragment of the narrative structure of the original folktale and then confirming the narrative structure of the original folktale. The creating stage of folktale is (d) the process of creating new folktales. The process of creating a folktale was structured to lead to the personal creation of the individual from the collaborated creation of form a tailback( Kkokkomu ) step by step. Creating a folktale with form a tailback( Kkokkomu ) defined in this paper means that the next person jointly writes the narrative paragraph following the narrative paragraph written by the previous person. Through the step-by-step process of enjoying folktales of comprehension, application, and creation, the folktale listener can learn the oral cultural characteristics of folktales and grow into a messenger and creator of the folktale.
