국문 초록

본고는 광복 이후 1946년경에 발행된 음악책 『우리노래』를 소개하고 그 구체적인 내용을 살펴보았다. 오선보와 숫자보를 함께 사용한 『우리노래』는 광복 이후에 어린이에게 음악을 가르치기 위해 ‘합천제1공립초등학교’에서 자체적으로 제작한 음악책이다. 『우리노래』에 수록된 55곡의 노래를 크게 애국(愛國)을 주제로 한 노래, 자연과 관련된 노래, 인간사를 그린 노래로 나누었다. 군정청 문교부에서 발행한 『초등 노래책』과 비교할 때, 이 책의 특징은 애국을 주제로 한 노래가 대거 실려 있다는 점이다. 특히 <조선애국가>와 <조선의 노래>를 상세하게 다루어서 노래의 역사를 추적해보았다. 다음으로 자연과 관련된 노래들은 여타 동요에서 보는 것과 마찬가지로 의인화를 주로 사용한 것을 확인하였다. 그러한 노래들은 의인화를 통해 자신의 감정을 드러내는 서정성이 도드라졌다. 마지막으로 인간사를 그린 노래들은 인물, 사건, 배경이 등장하여 서정성보다 서사성에 집중한 것을 확인하였다. 아쉽게도 이 책의 판권이 없어 정확한 발행연도를 알 수 없다. 다만 이 책의 소지자로 보이는 사람이 펜으로 쓴 1946년 1월 22일에 의거하여 이 책이 1946년 1월 22일 이전에 제작되었을 것이라 추정한다. 실제로 학교 이름의 변천 상황과 책에 수록된 노래 제목과 작사자와 작곡자의 면면 등을 확인할 때, 이 책이 1946년 1월 22일 이전에 간행되었을 가능성이 높다. 그렇다면 이 책은 광복 이후에 발간된 최초의 음악책으로 볼 여지도 있다. 하지만 아직은 추정에 불과하므로 그렇게 볼 여지가 있다는 정도에서 논의를 마무리하였다. 잊힌 동요들의 흔적을 확인하고 몇몇 노래의 역사를 새롭게 추정해서 상세하게 밝힌 것은 본고의 성과라고 할 수 있다. 어려운 시절에도 어린이들에게 동심과 민족혼을 일깨우기 위해 노력한 많은 사람들이 있었다는 것을 이 책의 발굴과 소개를 통해 새삼 확인하였다.

영문 초록

In this paper, I present the music book Our Song, which was published around 1946 after Korea s liberation from Japanese colonial rule, and examine its contents. The music book, which uses staff and figure notations, was self-published by the Hapcheon First Public Elementary School to teach music to children after the liberation of Korea. The 55 songs in this book are divided into patriotic songs, nature-related songs, and human history songs. Compared to the Elementary Song Book published by the Ministry of Education of the Military Government Office, the most notable characteristic of this book is that it contains many patriotic songs. Additionally, the lyrics of the nature-related songs mostly feature humanized objects, as seen in other children s songs. Such personification helps express one s feelings in lyricism. Finally, the songs that depict human history present characters, events, and backgrounds, indicating more focus on narrative than lyrics. Unfortunately, the exact year of publication is unknown because the book is not copyrighted. However, I assume that this book was produced before January 22, 1946, based on various pieces of evidence, such as the time when the name of the school was changed, the title of the song in the book, and the pictures of the lyricist and the composer printed on the book. If these hold true, this book could regarded as the first music book published after Korea s liberation from Japan s colonial rule. The tracing of the history of children’s songs through this book is the main contribution of this study. Additionally, this study confirms, through the discovery and introduction of One Song, that there were many people who tried to awaken children s innocence and national spirit even in difficult times.
