자연모사 과학탐구활동이 중학생의 창의성 증진에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

미래사회에서 요구되는 창의융합인재가 갖추어야 할 핵심역량의 한 가지가 창의성이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 청소년 시기에서부터 학교교육을 통하여 창의성을 체계적으로 길러야 한다는 것에 초점을 두고 창의성 함양을 위한 자연모사 과학탐구활동 프로그램을 개발하였으며, 이를 중학교의 자유학년제 수업에 실험 적용하여 그 효과를 확인하였다. 실험대상은 서울 D중학교의 자유학년제 교육과정에 있는 중학생 1학년생 36명이었다. 연구대상 선정 후, 실험집단과 통제집단에 각 18명씩 무선 배치하였으며, 실험실시 전에 통합창의성검사로 사전검사를 하여 집단 간 동질성을 확인하였으며, 실험실시 후에 실시한 사후검사로 실험의 효과를 확인하였다. 실험은 2019년도 2학기 중 총 8주 동안 진행되었다. 본 연구의 결과, 각 차시마다 자연모사의 기초가 된 동식물을 소개하고 이를 모사하여 실생활에 유용한 발명품을 창의적으로 만들어나가는 활동을 하는 자연모사 과학탐구활동은 중학생의 통합창의성(창의적 능력, 창의적 성격) 향상에 효과가 있다는 것이 확인되었다. 따라서 중학생들의 창의성 증진을 위한 수업에 본 연구에서 효과를 확인한 자연모사 과학탐구활동과 같은 프로그램을 적용하기를 제안한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study focused on the need to systematically develop the competencies required by creative convergence talents in the future society through school education from the youth period, and developed a program for exploring natural simulation activities to cultivate creativity and applied it to the free grade class of middle school to confirm the effect. The subjects of this study were 36 first graders of middle school in the free grade curriculum of D middle school located in Seoul. After selecting the subjects, each 18 students were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group. Before the laboratory, the integrated creativity test was conducted to confirm the homogeneity between the groups and then the experiment was conducted for 8 weeks in the second semester of 2019. After the experiment, the application effect of the program was confirmed by post-test. As a result of this study, it was confirmed that the natural simulation inquiry activity was effective in improving the integrated creativity (creative ability, creative personality) of middle school students.Therefore, it is suggested that the program such as the natural simulation inquiry activity should be applied to the class for the improvement of the creativity of middle school students.
