수업방법에 대한 교사와 학생의 인식 및 집단별 특성에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 동일한 수업에 대한 교사와 학생의 인식을 수업방법의 측면에서 비교하고, 각 수업방법 인식에 따른 잠재집단별 특성을 확인하여 교사의 수업방법 개선을 위한 시사점 제공을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 경기교육종단연구(Gyeonggi Education Panel Study) 제 6차년도(2018년) 데이터를 사용하여 수업방법에 대한 교사와 학생의 인식을 교과별로 잠재프로파일(LPA) 분석과 BCH 방법을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 수업방법에 대한 인식에서 교사와 학생 공통적으로 모두 교수자 중심 수업방법보다 학습자 중심 수업방법에서 잠재집단 간 격차가 크게 나타났다. 둘째, 발문법 활용정도에 대해 높게 인식하는 교사들과 달리 학생들은 이를 낮게 인식하였다. 셋째, 협동학습 정도에 대해 교사와 학생 공통적으로 수학교과에서는 가장 낮게 인식했지만, 영어교과에서는 높게 인식하였다. 수업방법에 대한 잠재집단별 특성으로는 첫째, 국·영·수 각 교과에서 학습자 중심 수업방법을 적용한 교사집단이 학생에 대한 과제피드백, 교사의 효능감, 교직만족도 정도를 높게 인식하였다. 둘째, 국·영·수 각 교과에서 학습자 중심 수업방법 정도가 높다고 인식한 학생집단이 교사의 수업능력, 교과흥미, 효능감, 수업태도 정도를 높게 인식하였다. 본 연구를 통해 수업방법에 대한 잠재집단별 인식의 차이는 주로 학습자 중심의 수업방법 활용 측면에서 기인함을 확인하였으며, 교사와 학생의 ‘학습자 중심’ 잠재집단이 갖는 특성을 바탕으로 학습자 중심 수업의 확대와 전환의 필요성, 이를 위한 교육프로그램의 마련에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study is to compare the perception of teachers and students on teaching methods used by teachers and to explore the characteristics of the latent groups, thereby providing implications for improving teaching practices. The data source was the 2018 Gyeonggi Education Panel Study and the data was analyzed using Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) and BCH method. Results showed that: a) there is a bigger gap between the latent groups on the perception of student-centered teaching methods than teacher-centered teaching methods from both teachers and students; b) teachers perceived they use question-based teaching method more than students thought; and c) both teachers and students perceived a low level of collaborative learning in mathematics as opposed to that of a high level in English. Regarding the characteristics of latent groups, it was found that: a) the teacher group of student-centered teaching method latent profile showed a high level of assignment feedback, self-efficacy, and job satisfaction; b) the student group of student-centered teaching method latent profile perceived higher in teachers instructional competence, interest, self-efficacy, and attitudes toward learning. This study shows that differences in perceiving teaching method between teachers and students are mainly occur when student-centered instruction is implemented. It also suggests that classroom instruction needs to be more student-centered and adequate supports for teachers should be provided.
