‘진지한 여가’ 담론의 관점에서 바라본 노인여가교육의 미래방향 탐구

국문 초록

여가연구에서 생성되는 담론들은 고령사회로 이행하는 현대사회에서 매우 중요한 인식을제공한다. Robert Stebbins에 의해 정립되어진 ‘진지한 여가전망’(SLP) 담론은 노년기 삶과일, 그리고 학습의 문제를 바라봄에 있어서 중요한 통찰력을 제공한다. 특히 활동력 있는 새로운 노인세대의 등장과 노년기의 일과 여가의 문제 등을 고려해볼 때 진지한 여가 담론은 보다폭넓은 관점을 제공할 수 있다. 본 연구는 Stebbins의 진지한 여가 담론이 고령사회에서의 노인을 위한 여가교육의 실천적 차원에서 어떻게 이론적으로 기여할 수 있는가를 밝혔다. 이를 위해 우선적으로 Stebbins의 진지한 여가담론의 내용을 체계적으로 드러내고자 하며, 둘째로는진지한 여가담론이 창의적인 나이듦의 가치와 어떻게 연결되는지를 밝혔다. 마지막으로는 진지한 여가담론이 제공하는 노인여가교육의 시사점을 검토하였다. Stebbins는 여가를 진지한 여가, 일상적 여가 그리고 프로젝트 여가 세 가지 형태로 구분하고 있는데 이러한 구분은 노인여가교육의 실천에 있어서 새로운 변화의 가능성을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 문헌분석과 내용분석이라는 해석적 연구방법을 활용하였다.

영문 초록

The discourses created in leisure research provide a very important perception in the modern society that transitions to an aging society. The “Serious Leisure Perspective” (SLP) discourse, established by Robert Stebbins, provides important insights into looking at the problems of life, work and learning in old age. Considering the emergence of a particularly active new elderly generation and the problems of work and leisure in old age, serious leisure discourse can provide a wider perspective. In this study, I would like to clarify how Stebbins serious leisure discourse can theoretically contribute to the practical dimension of leisure education for the elderly in an aging society. For this reason, first, I want to systematically reveal the content of Stebbins serious leisure discourse. Second, I want to reveal how serious leisure discourse is connected to the value of creative aging. Finally, I want to review the implications of leisure education for the elderly provided by serious leisure discourse. Stebbins divides leisure into three types: serious leisure, daily leisure, and project leisure. This division is expected to bring about new changes in the practice of leisure education for the elderly. In this study, analytical research methods such as literature analysis and content analysis were used.
