집단미술치료가 학교부적응을 겪는 초등학생의 사회성기술과 학교적응에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 집단미술치료가 학교부적응을 겪는 초등학생의 사회성기술과 학교적응이 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 연구 대상은 2017년 3월 S시 0초등학교의 5학년을 대상으로 안내문을 통해 부모동의서를 받고 사회성기술과 학교적응, 학교생활화 검사 후 하위점수에서 16명을 선별하여 실험 및 대기집단으로 각각 8명씩 무선 배정하였다. 실험집단은 주 1회, 회당 약 60분, 총 10회기의 집단미술치료프로그램에 참여하였다. 사회성기술척도와 학교적응척도를 사전, 사후에 실시하고 실험집단은 추후도 측정하여 효과와 효과의 크기를 양적분석 하였고, 사전, 사후 학교생활화 검사(KSD)와 집단미술치료 과정에서의 변화를 질적으로 살펴보았다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회성기술에서는 실험집단이 대기집단에 비해 사전⋅사후에서 통계적으로도 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 학교적응 검사에서는 실험집단이 대기집단에 비해 사전⋅사후에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 또한 학교생활화 검사에서 실험집단의 학교적응이 사전에 비해 사후에 향상되었음을 알 수 있으며, 대기집단은 별다른 변화가 없었다. 셋째, 집단미술치료 과정을 통해 학교부적응을 겪는 초등학생의 사회성기술과 학교적응이 긍정적으로 변화하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 집단미술치료가 학교부적응을 겪는 초등학생의 사회성기술과 학교적응 향상에 효과적이라 할 수 있다. 이상의 결과는 추후검사에서도 유지되었다.

영문 초록

This study examined the effects of a group art therapy program on school-maladjusted elementary school students’ social skills and school adjustment. The subjects of this study consisted of 16 fifth-grade students who wanted to attend the program and had signed an agreement from their parents from “0” elementary school in Seoul. After undergoing tests of social skills, school adjustment and Kinetic School Drawing (KSD), eight students were assigned to the experimental group and the others were in control group. They attended weekly 60-minute group art therapy sessions for 10 weeks. The study analyzed the impact of the program using a social skill scale and, a school adjustment scale, and qualitatively analyzed its impact throgh changes in KSD and group art therapy. First, experimental group statistically improved in social skills more than the control group did. Scond, experimental group statistically improved in school adjustment more than control group, and the group showed statistically significant improvements in the KSD test compared to the pretest. Last, through group art therapy, maladjusted elementary school students improved their social skills and school adjustment. As a the result, the researchers found that group art therapy has positive effects on the improvement of the social skills and school adjustment of elementary school students who have difficulty in school adjustment. The results of the follow-up test were the same as the post-test results.
