국가수준 유치원 및 초등학교 교육과정 문서에 나타난 수학교육 내용에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 국가수준 유치원 및 초등학교 교육과정의 수학교육 적정화가 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지를 알아보기 위해 내용분석 방법을 활용하여 교육내용의 양과 수준, 교육내용 진술방법을 탐색하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2019 개정 누리과정에서 교육내용을 대강화한 결과, 초등학교 교육과정의 교육내용과 양적 측면의 격차가 더욱 커졌으며, 내용수준 연계에 대한 고려가 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교육내용의 진술방식에 있어 초등 1-2학년(군)은 수행중심 진술이 가장 높은 비중이었고, 그 다음으로 내용중심 진술, 활동중심 진술로 나타났다. 이에 비해 3-5세 연령별 누리과정과 2019 개정 누리과정은 활동중심 진술이 가장 많았다. 이는 유아의 경험에 초점을 두고 교육내용을 진술하는 유치원 교육과정의 특징이라고 볼 수 있으나, 국가수준 교육과정의 목적을 생각할 때 교육내용을 진술하는데 있어 교육목표와 수업의 경험, 그리고 실제적인 평가 사이의 연결성을 점검할 필요가 있다. 또한 교육과정의 내용진술에 있어 유치원 교육과정과 초등교육과정 간 연계를 고려한 심도 있는 논의가 이루어져야 함을 보여준다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine how the appropriateness is implemented in the early childhood mathematics education of the national kindergarten curriculum and how the standard of educational contents has been presented differently from the mathematics of the elementary curriculum. As a result, the contents analysis method was used to explore the contents related to the appropriateness of the mathematics curriculum. Second, there were the most activity-based statements in the Nuri curriculum for 3-5 year-old’s and the Nuri curriculum for revision of 2019. In contrast, performance-oriented statements were the highest in 2015 revision curriculum elementary school 1-2 years, followed by content-oriented statements and activity-based statements. This is a characteristic of the kindergarten curriculum that focuses on the experiences of young children and states the contents of the education. However, considering that it is a national level curriculum, it is necessary to consider the link between educational objectives, classroom experience and practical evaluation. In the case of Nuri curriculum for revision of 2019, which has strengthened the curriculum, the linkage with the elementary curriculum should be considered and an in-depth discussion of the content description and standards of the curriculum should be conducted.
