무발화 고양이울음증후군 아동의 의사소통기능 습득을 위한 AAC 중재의 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 무발화 고양이울음증후군 아동에게 보완대체의사소통(AAC) 중재를 적용하여 의사소통기능을 습득시키고자 한 사례 연구이다. 이를 위해 무발화 수준의 고양이울음증후군 아동 두 명을 대상으로 주당 5회씩, 회당 20분씩, 8주간의 중재를 실시하였다. 이 중재를 위해 그림상징이 장착된 AAC 기기인 슈퍼토커를 사용하였으며, 아동이 그림상징 셀을 누르게 되면 그 그림상징에 해당하는 음성이 출력되도록 구성하였다. 연구 결과, AAC 중재를 통해 대상 아동 모두는 기초선단계에 비해 중재와 유지단계에서 의사소통기능이 향상되었으며, 의사소통의 기능별 습득 정도에서도 요구표현, 감정표현, 견해표현 모두가 향상되었고, AAC 중재 종료 2주 후에도 습득기능이 유지되는 경향을 보였다.

영문 초록

This case study is designed to examine the effect of the AAC intervention on the acquisition of communication functions of nonverbal children especially with CRI DU Chat Syndrome. Targeting two nonverbal children with the syndrome, the 8 weeks of AAC intervention (20 minutes for each and five times per week) designed to deliver clear voices of graphic symbols when the participants touched Super Talk. For training strategies, the participating children’s favorite and unfavorite toys and food were associated with children’s expression of demands, feelings and opinions. The AAC intervention seemed to improve communication functions of both children with CRI DU Chat Syndrome as they acquired expression skills that they could use to describe demands, feelings and opinions. Further, the communication functions were maintained even after the intervention was terminated.
