청소년의 자살시도 및 극복경험에 관한 질적분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 2회 이상 자살을 시도했던 청소년 7명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 통해 자살생각 및 시도 등의 자살행동과 극복경험을 규명하는 것이다. 부산시 중고등학교 전문상담(교)사에게 각 학교에 자살시도를 한 후 6개월 이상 자살시도를 하지 않았고 현재 자살생각이 100점 만점에 10점 이하인 청소년들을 파악하도록 협조 요청하였고 파악된 청소년들이 자발적 참여의사로 지원하였다. 이들 중 3명을 제외한 7명은 2∼3회 걸쳐서 자신의 자살시도경험에 대해서 인터뷰하였다. 반구조화된 질문을 바탕으로 일대일 면담방식으로 진행하고 추출된 자료에 대해 CQR 분석을 실시하였으며, 분석결과 이들은 자신을 무가치하고 타인에 대해 복수심이 강하지만 자살 밖에 해결 방법이 없다고 생각하였다. 자살시도시 고통을 잊기 위한 동기로 우울감과 분노, 혼란을 경험했으며 시도 후 후회감 등의 부정적인 영향과 함께 삶에 대한 시각이 바뀌는 경험을 하였다. 끝으로 적극적으로 변화하려고 노력하고 주위의 지지를 받고 상황에 대한 관점이 변화하면서 자살시도를 극복하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 청소년의 자살행동과 극복경험에 대한 심층적이고 총체적인 질적 분석을 통하여 자살행동 청소년의 자살 극복 과정을 보여주었다는 점에서 중요한 의의를 지닌다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine psychosocial factors of suicide and recovery experiences of adolescents who had attempted suicide through in-depth interviews and qualitative analysis. The Participants were selected spontaneously among middle and high school students in Busan who have not tried suicide for more than 6 months after their last attempting suicide and have had 10 out of 100 points about suicidal desire. 7 adolescents of them had been interviewed about their attempt of suicide. The interview was doing one-to-one based on the semi-structured, and extracted data was subjected to analysis of CQR research method. According to the results, they felt worthless about themselves and thought suicide is the only solution for revenge of others. They experienced depression, anger, confusion for trying to forget the pain of attempting suicide and they affected negative effects and changed perspective on life after attempting suicide. Finally, they could overcome the difficulties through trying to change their attitude on their life and getting to support from others. Limitations to the current study and recommendations for future research are discussed.
