대학생의 소명, 진로적응성, 삶의 의미와 진로결정수준의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 대학생의 소명과 진로적응성, 삶의 의미 및 진로결정수준 간의 구조적 관계를 밝히고자 구조방정식 모형을 설정하여 변인들 간의 관계를 분석하였다. 선행연구들을 근거로 하여 소명과 진로결정수준 간의 관계를 삶의 의미와 진로적응이 매개하는 경로를 설정하였다. 이를 위해, 온라인 설문조사를 실시하여 국내 대학생 489명의 자료를 수집하였으며, 불성실 응답자 15명을 제외한 남학생 214명과 여학생 260명의 설문결과를 분석하였다. 구체적인 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소명, 진로적응성, 삶의 의미, 진로결정 수준 모두 서로 유의미한 정적 상관을 보이고 있었다. 또한 삶의 의미 하위척도인 의미추구와 의미발견 간에서도 유의미한 정적 상관이 확인되었다. 둘째, 모형검증 결과 소명이 진로결정수준에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않는 완전매개 모형인 경쟁모형이 채택되었다. 이를 자세히 살펴보면 소명과 삶의 의미 간 관계에서 진로적응성이 부분매개를, 진로적응성과 진로결정수준 간 관계에서 삶의 의미가 부분매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 소명은 진로적응성과 삶의 의미를 통해 진로결정수준에 간접적인 영향만을 미치고 있었다. 본 연구의 결과로 대학생의 진로결정수준에 대한 소명, 진로적응성과 삶의 의미 변인들 간의 경로 관계를 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점과 후속연구에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This research was conducted to examine the relationship between calling, career adaptability, meaning of life, and career decision level of college students. It was predicted that career adaptability and meaning of life would have mediating effects on the relationship between calling and career decision level. Data was collected from 489 college students. After data cleaning, data cases of 214 male and 260 female subjects were retained and analyzed. The results showed the following: First, calling, career adaptability, meaning of life, and career decision level positively related to each other. Searching for meaning also positively correlated with meaning discovery, and these two are subscales of meaning of life measure. Second, results supported the revised model, as career adaptability had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between calling and meaning of life. In addition, meaning of life had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between career adaptability and career decision level. Calling had an indirect effect on career decision level through career adaptability and meaning in life. Limitations of the study and suggestions for future research are discussed.
