교육활동 개선을 위한 교육서비스와 디자인의 만남: 교육서비스디자인의 방법론 탐색

국문 초록

이 연구는 초연결, 초지능화된 4차 산업혁명시대의 새로운 요구에 부합할 수 있는 교육서비스가 필요하다는 측면에서, 교육활동을 서비스과학의 측면에서 접근하여 교육서비스 혁신을 시도하는 ‘교육서비스사이언스’를 출발점으로 삼고, 교육서비스와 디자인의 만남이 교육활동 개선에 어떠한 방법론을 제공해줄 수 있는지에 대한 가능성 탐색의 목적으로 시작되었다. 먼저 혁신촉진자로서 디자인의 의미와 가치, 서비스혁신을 목적으로 태동한 서비스사이언스와 디자인과의 만남을 통한 서비스디자인의 가치와 역할을 살펴보고, 교육서비스와 디자인과의 만남인 교육서비스디자인이 교육활동 개선에 제공해 줄 수 있는 방법론으로 시스템디자인과 서비스디자인을 제시하였다. 이를 통해 교육서비스시스템을 학습자시스템, 학습시스템, 학습환경시스템의 3수준으로 나누고, 각 시스템수준에 따라 서비스디자인 툴을 활용하여 고객의 경험을 극대화하고 공동가치창조가 가능한 교육서비스를 디자인하는 프레임을 제시하였다. 이러한 논의를 바탕으로 교육활동개선을 위한 디자인으로 교육서비스디자인은 교육에 대한 시스템디자인관점과 동시에 서비스디자인 관점을 제공하며, 이를 토대로 교육서비스 혁신의 단초를 제공할 수 있다는 가능성이 탐색되었으며, 향후 각 시스템수준별 디자인적 요소 및 조직의 환경에 맞는 교육서비스디자인 사례연구를 후속 연구 과제로 제시하였다.

영문 초록

In the wake of the 4th industrial revolution, a hype rconnected, hyper intelligent society has emerged. With it, a new demand for an education service that can fulfill those needs has also arisen. This study has its roots in “Education Service Science”, which attempts innovation by viewing educational activities through the lens of service science, and was started as a way to explore the methodologies that the combination of education service and design could provide. To achieve this, we examined the meaning and value of design as the driving force behind innovation and analyzed the value and role of Service Design, which is the combination of Service Science (created for the purpose of service innovation), and Design. We then divided the Education Service system into three levels (learner system, learning system, and learning environment system) using system design and service design, which are methodologies provided by Education Service Design. Then, using service design tools, we suggested a framework for education service design that was suited for each level, one that maximized customer satisfaction and allowed for value co-creation. With this framework as the base, we were able to discover a possibility that this may provide the catalyst for education service innovation. With this in mind, we suggested future research topics, such as design elements for each system level and research into education service design cases that suit an organization’s needs.
