국문 초록

인지에 대한 연구는 전통적으로 심리학의 영역으로 자리잡아 왔으나 최근 학제간 접근이 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 학제적 접근의 결과 인지는 인간개체의 인지에 대한 접근으로만 제한되지 않고 여러 학문들의 연구결과가 반영되어 문화인지패러다임으로의 전환을 보여주고 있다. 진화인류학이나 활동이론 등의 다양한 논의와 함께 Christoph Wulf의 역사문화적 인간학 연구는 문화인지에 대한 새로운 접근을 제공한다. Wulf는 기존의 인간학 연구들을 통합적으로 다루면서 인간학의 새로운 시각을 보여준다. Wulf는 진화인류학(Anthropology of Evolution)의 이론적 성과와 독일의 철학적 인간학(Philosophische Anthropologie), 프랑스의 아날학파의 역사적 인간학(Historical Anthropology), 심성사(History of Mentality), 그리고 영미권의 문화인류학(Cultural Anthropology)의 연구성과 등을 합쳐 역사문화적 인간학을 제시하고 있다. 이러한 새로운 인간학의 배경아래 신체성, 미메시스, 연행성, 의례, 이미지등의 개념들을 통합하여 문화적 학습의 모델을 제시하고 있다. 그의 이론은 문화인지의 이론적 모델로서 포스트모던시대를 살아가는 현대인들의 인지를 설명할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The studies on cognition traditionally have conducted in the area of psychology, but they are recently conducted by interdisciplinary approach. As the result of interdisciplinary approach, the cognition is not limited by only approach of individual cognition and shows the change to cultural cognition paradigm by reflecting research outcomes of several studies. With various discussions of anthropology of evolution, activity theory, etc, Christoph Wulf s historical & cultural anthropologic research provides new approach for cultural cognition. Wulf treats existing anthropologic researches integrally and shows new sight of anthropology. Wulf suggests historical & cultural anthropologic research by combining theoretical outcomes of anthropology of evolution, philosophical anthropology of Germany, Annales school s historical anthropology of France (histoire des mentalites), cultural anthropological research outcomes of England and America, etc. Under the background of new anthropology, it suggests the model of cultural learning by combining concepts of corporality, mimesis, performativity, ritual, image, etc. His theory will be able to explain the cognition of modern people who are living in postmodern period as a theoretical model of cultural cognition.
