유치원 교육실습생의 수업활동에 대한 실습생 및 지도교사 평가의 네트워크 분석

국문 초록

유치원 교육실습생의 수업 활동에 대한 실습생과 지도교사의 평가가 어떠한 양상을 보이는지 알아보기 위하여 평가 자료 텍스트를 네트워크 분석 방법으로 연구하였다. 연구의 대상은 유치원에서 실습을 수행한 실습생 67명이었으며, 분석한 수업의 유형은 이야기나누기, 동화, 노래 부르기, 게임이었다. 연구 결과, 활동별로 평가 내용에 특징이 나타났는데, 실습생과 지도교사 공통적으로 이야기나누기는 유아의 집중과 흥미, 동화는 이야기 기억과 회상, 노래는 유아의 가사 숙지와 율동 및 반주, 게임은 게임규칙에 대해서 중점적으로 평가하였다. 모든 활동에서 실습생과 지도교사 모두 유아의 ‘집중’과 ‘흥미’를 중시하여 평가하고 있었다. 실습생은 지도교사와 달리 ‘당황’, ‘혼란’, ‘미안’ 등의 감정을 나타내는 단어를 많이 사용하여 평가하고 있어서 실습 기간 중 심리적이고 정서적인 지원이 필요하다는 결론을 내렸다. 지도교사는 실제 사례를 들어 구체적으로 평가하고 있어서 실천적인 지식을 강조하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 예비유아교사가 실습 기간 동안 교사로서의 역량을 갖추어나갈 수 있도록 실습생 지원 체제를 마련해야 함을 알 수 있었다. 지도교사 또한 기관이나 개인별로 지도의 양상이나 실습생과의 관계가 다르게 나타나므로 지도교사가 실습생을 조력하고 지도교사 본인의 전문성 발달에 도움이 될 수 있는 방안을 현장에 제공하기 위해 관련 행정기관, 교원양성기관, 유치원 현장 등의 지원이 필요하다는 것을 시사 받을 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences between student teachers and mentors in assessing activities. The participants of the study were 67 student teachers and 67 mentors in kindergarten. We collected their assessment data and analyzed the data using a text network analysis. The types of activities analyzed were story-telling, fairy tales, singing, and games. The results of the study are as follows. Different assessment contents appeared by activity types. The student teachers and the mentors focused on the interest of young children in story-telling, on the story recalling in fairy tales, on the lyrics memory of young children and accompaniment in singing, and on the rules in games. Both the student teachers and the mentors considered the ‘concentration’ and ‘interest’ of young children as the most important assessment factors. The student teachers assessed their activities using emotional words such as embarrassment , confusion , and sorry . Therefore, it is necessary to provide psychological support for student teachers during the teaching practice period. When the mentors assessed the activities of student teachers, they provided specific examples and detailed information. The study has implications that it is necessary to establish a system to support student teachers to obtain teacher competency while they are practicing. In addition, in order for mentors to be able to lead student teachers, kindergartens, education offices, universities, and other related institutions should provide support.
