국문 초록

이 논문은 슐라이어마허에서 용서와 화해의 개념을 밝히는 것을 목적으로한다. ‘신앙론’에 나타난 신의 용서와 화해 개념을 살펴본 다음, 용서와 화해의 인간학적 조건을 밝히고, 용서가 인간의 행위이지만 그 자체가 신적인 지평에 있음을 주장한다. 슐라이어마허의 교의학은 용서와 화해를 구원으로 간주한다. 구원은 잘못을 범한 인간을 자신의 신의식(神意識) 가운데 받아들이는 그리스도를 통해 이루어진다. 구원은 인간의 잘못과 처벌의 당위에 대한 그리스도의 공감에서 출발하며 인간을 신과 화해시키는 데서 완성된다. 그리스도의 화해 행위는 최고의 고통과 죽음을 수반한다. 그리스도의 고통은 인간이 겪어야 할 형벌에 대한 공감이며 형벌을 극복하기 위한 희생의 고통이다. 이것은 신의 사랑의 표현이다. 신의 사랑은 죄를 지은 인간을 신과 화해하게 하고 이웃과 화해하게 하며 그를 자기 자신과 화해하게 한다. 용서와 화해의 인간학적 조건은 윤리적 과정이다. 이것은 타자의 삶을 자기 안에 받아들이는 차원과 자기의 삶을 바깥으로 내세우는 차원의 공존이다. 슐라이어마허는 이 공존을 교제관계로 규정한다. 교제관계는 용서와 화해의 전제로서 그 핵심은 구속력 있는 상호귀속과 공동체 의식에 있다. 양자를 가능하게 하는 것은 상대의 감정을 터치하는 섬세한 말과 내적 자격을 갖춘 말이다. 공감의 말은 칸트의 인격성의 윤리학을 넘어서며 인간성의 윤리학을 요구한다. 용서는 사랑에 토대를 둔다. 사랑은 신적 정신을 각성한 사람들 간의 동등한 관계이다. 그러나 용서의 지평은 신적이다. 용서하기 위해서 당사자를 이해해야 하는 동시에 그가 관계하는 전체를 이해해야 한다. 전체에 대한 이해는 보편적이며 신적이다. 그러므로 용서의 관점은 개인적인 것이 아니다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to reveal the concept of forgiveness and reconciliation in Schleiermacher. Schleiermacher s Glaubenslehre(The Christian Faith) regards forgiveness and reconciliation as salvation. Salvation is accomplished through Christ, who accepts a man who has committed wrongs in his God-consciousness (Gottesbewusstsein). Salvation originates from the sympathy of Christ on human fault and his necessity of punishment and is completed in reconciling human with God. Christ s reconciliation involves the greatest suffering and death. The suffering of Christ is a sympathy for the punishment that man has to suffer and a sacrifice to overcome his punishment. This is an expression of God s love. God s love makes it possible for sinners to reconcile with God, with his neighbor, and with himself. The anthropological condition of forgiveness and reconciliation is an ethical process. This is the coexistence of the level of accepting the life of the other in someone and the level of expressing his life in the other. Schleiermacher defines this coexistence as sociability(Geselligkeit). Sociability is the premise of forgiveness and reconciliation, and its core lies in mutual belonging and community consciousness. Both is possible through delicate speech with inner qualification which touches the opponent s emotions. The speech of sympathy goes beyond Kant’s ethics of personality and demands the ethics of humanity. Forgiveness is based on love. Love is the equal relationship between those who awaken through the divine spirit. But the horizon of forgiveness is divine. In order to forgive, we must understand the parties involved and at the same time understand the whole relationship. The understanding of the whole is universal and divine. Therefore, the point of forgiveness is not personal.
