집단미술치료가 성인 뇌병변 장애인의 자기표현 능력과 심리적 임파워먼트에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 성인 뇌병변 장애인에게 집단미술치료를 적용하여, 자기표현 능력과 심리적 임파워먼트 증진의 효과성을 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 S시에 소재한 K장애인자립재활센터를 이용하는 성인 뇌병변 장애 1급에 해당되는 8명으로, 2015년 5월부터 9월까지 집단 상담실에서 주 1회, 회기 당 60~90분씩 총 16회기 의 집단미술치료를 실시하였다. 프로그램 효과를 검증하기 위한 평가 척도로, 주관적 평가인 자기표현 능력 척 도(SES), 심리적 임파워먼트 척도(PES)를 사전？사후에 실시하였다. 또한, 객관적 평가로 자기표현 행동관찰 분 석법(BOAS)을 시행하여 연구대상의 긍정적？부정적 자기표현 행동 빈도를 측정 및 비교하였으며, 심리적 임파 워먼트와 행동 변화과정 등을 알아보기 위해 회기별 질적 분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 집단미술치료가 성인 뇌병변 장애인의 자기표현 능력 향상에 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 집단미술치료가 성인 뇌병 변 장애인의 심리적 임파워먼트 증진에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 집단미술치료가 성인 뇌병변 장애인을 대상으로 하여 임상현장에서 활용할 수 있는 효과적인 접근법임을 알 수 있었으며, 성인 뇌병 변 장애인의 상담 및 심리치료 현장에서의 실제적 활용 가능성을 시사한다

영문 초록

This study desires to examine the effects of group art therapy on the self-expression and psychological empowerment of adults with brain lesions. The subjects consist of eight adults with Grade A brain lesions being treated at the K Center for Independent Living. From May to September 2015, 16 sessions(once a week, 60~90 minutes per session) of group art therapy were conducted with the subjects. To verify the effects of the study, Self-Expression Scale(SES) and Psychological Empowerment Scale(PES) were used before and after the group art therapy sessions for subjective ratings. In addition, Behavior Observation Analysis of Self-Expression(BOAS) was performed in order to measure and compare positive-negative self-expression frequencies. Sessional Qualitative Analysis was performed to observe psychological empowerment and courses of behavioral change. The results of this study indicate that group art therapy has a positive effect on self-expression and psychological empowerment in adults with brain lesions. Through such results, it was observed that the group art therapy that can effectively be used in clinical fields focusing on adults with brain lesions. Therefore, such results implicates an actual applicability in the fields of counseling/psychotherapy involving adults with brain lesions.
