정서장애 아동의 미술치료 사례연구

국문 초록

정서장 애 연구는 1930년 이전에는 시작되지 않았으나(Kanner, 1962), 1940대부터 장애아에 대한 관심이 급격히 증가하면서 1950년경에 정서장애 아동을 위한 특수교육은 하나의 원칙으로 확립되어 갔으며 1960년대는 정서장애아를 위한 역동적, 행동적, 인간적, 사회생태학적 접근법들이 이루어졌다. 1970년대 초반에는 정서장애에 대한 개념 정의에 대한 연구가 시작되었으며, Bower와 Lambert(1971)는 ① 다른 요인들에 의해서는 추적 불가능한 학습 무능력. ② 동료 혹은 성인들과 만족할만한 대인 관계를 형성하지 못하는 무능력. ③ 정상적인 자극과 사건들에 대한 부적절한 반응. ④ 팽배해 있는 불행감. ⑤ 스트레스를 자주 받아 신체증상으로 나타난 상태 등의 행동유형 중 1개 이상을 비교적 장기간에 걸쳐 뚜렷하게 나타낼 때 정서장애로 판정할 수 있다고 지적하였다. 한편 Reinert(1980)는 “정서장애”라는말 대신에 “갈등상태에 있는 아동”이란 말을 사용하였다.

영문 초록

This case study attempted to improve the power of self-control, concentration, interpersonal relationship and then to decrease anxiety by the art therapy to emotionally disturbed child. The subject was emotionally disturbed child wìth emotional and social problems. such as anxiety. withdrawal and avoidant interpersonal relationship. The child was male, 5years old, Then he had parents and two elder brothers by another mother. The child and his mother participated in the art activity weekly for 8 months. Each session lasted approximately 50 minutes. The results of this case study were as follow: First. in the expressive activity of art he changed blue color into bright and variable colors. Second. because of improved concentration. he worked art activity with joy. Third. since he was improved the power of self-con trol and cooperation through art therapy, he acquaired self-confidence and positive attitude. Finally, since he eatablished emotional stabilization and improvement of social skill through art therapy, he kept company with friends.
