미래 사회 우리나라 미술교육의 방향 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 급변하는 미래 사회에서 무엇을 어떻게 대비해야 할 것인가에 대한 고민에서 출발되었다. 지금까지 미술교육을 포함한 교육계에서는 21세기 인공지능, 정보화 사회, 제4차 산업혁명으로 불리는 미래 사회의 특징과 교육 환경의 변화들에 주목하면서 미래 사회의 변화에 따른 인재 육성 관련 역량 논의가 지속되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 지금까지 이루어진 미래 사회의 특징과 교육 패러다임의 변화, 미술교육에서의 논의들을 종합적으로 살펴보고, 미래 사회를 대비하여 우리나라 미술 교육이 나아가야 할 방향을 모색하는 데 중점을 두었다. 본 연구 결과 미래 사회 대비 우리나라 미술교육의 전망과 과제로 5가지를 제안하였다. 첫째, 인성, 삶을 대하는 바른 태도를 포괄하는 정체성의 확립이다. 둘째, STEAM의 감성적 체험과 맞닿아 있는 감성 및 심미성의 함양이다. 셋째, 문제해결력, 비판적 사고력, 논리적 사고력, 융복합적 사고력을 포괄하는 창의적 사고(상상력/아이디어)이다. 넷째, 시각적 문해력을 포괄하는 시각적 소통 능력이다. 다섯째, 사회의 공공성, 공생으로서의 공동체 의식이다. 이 5가지 제안들은 초·중등 및 고등교육뿐만 아니라, 전 생애교육을 위한 미술교육으로서의 방향 설정에 시사점이 되어줄 것이다.

영문 초록

This research has began with the question of what to prepare for in a rapidly changing future society. Researches on the competencies related to human resource development executed in education and art education, paying attention to the characteristics of the future society called the artificial intelligence(AI), the information society and the fourth industrial revolution in the 21st century. The purpose of this study was to examine the meaning and the characteristics of future society, the changes of educational paradigm and the discussions in art education, and to focus on the direction of Korean art education in preparation for future challenges. The result of this study as follows: First, the establishment of an identity was needed. Second, the cultivation of emotion/aesthetics that relates to the emotional touch of STEAM. Third, creative thinking(imagination/idea included) that encompasses problem-solving ability, critical thinking ability, logical thinking ability, and convergence thinking ability. Fourth, visual communication ability that covers visual literacy was suggested. Fifth, a consciousness of community including the publicness of society and the stress of symbiosis. There should be various directions on art education for future challenges discussed for the whole education including lifelong education.
