근거이론적 접근을 통한 미술영재의 융합적 사고 유형 분석: A-STEAM을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 A-STEAM교육을 통해 미술영재에게 나타나는 융합적 사고의 특성을 연구 참여자들의 유형별로 규명하여 미술영재교육에서 융합교육을 실천할 수 있는 기초적 준거를 제공하기 위함이다. 이를 위하여 S대학부설 미술영재교육원 중·고등학생 17명을 대상으로 근거이론 기반의 연구를 수행하였다. 이론적 표본추출 방식에 따라 연구 참여자를 선정하여 연구 참여자들의 미술작품 제작 과정을 관찰하였고, 연차적인 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 자료는 개방 코딩(open coding), 축 코딩(axial coding), 선택 코딩(selective coding)의 절차로 분석되었고, 분석 결과, 총 196개의 개념, 37개 의 하위 범주, 15개의 범주를 추출하였다. 핵심범주는 ‘지식과 예술을 연결하여 자신의 삶에 대한 작품 완성하기’였으며, 융합적 사고의 유형은 크게 ‘과학·예술 융합형’, ‘기술지향형’, ‘예술중심 소통형’, ‘예술중심 독립형’으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구의 결과는 융합적 사고력 향상을 도모하고자 하는 교육과정편성에 도움이 될 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide a basic criterion for practicing fusion education in visual arts gifted education by identifying the characteristics of the convergent thinking appearing in the visual arts gifted through the A-STEAM education. It was conducted a grounded theory-based study of 17middle and high school students in the visual arts gifted education center attached to S-University. By the theoretical sampling method, the research participants were observed during the process of making the artwork. Data was collected through sequential in-depth interview. The data was analyzed by the procedures of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding, the analysis extracted were 196concepts, 37subcategories, and 15categories. The core categories revealed were linking knowledge and art to completing the works of your life , the types of convergent thinking revealed were: ‘arts-science convergence’, ‘technology-oriented’, ‘arts-based communication’, ‘arts-based independent’. The conclusions of this study can help to foster and organize the curriculum to improve convergent thinking ability.
