영문 초록

Objects : The reliability and validity of the family enironment scale(FES) in Korea were examined. Methods : The Korean version of the FES was administered to 772 parents of normal children aged between 9 and 12 years and 62 parents of clinic children. Results : The test-retest reliability coefficient of the 10 subscales with an interval of 1 month and 3 months were 0.69 and 0.67 respectively and internal consistency coefficient using Cronbach’s alpha was 0.79. A discriminant analysis between normal and clinic popuations indicated that 75 percent of grouped cases was correctly discriminated. Conclusion :The Korean version of FES turned out to be a reliable, internally consistent and valid scale which can be used for assessing family environment in Korea.
