국문 초록

이 논문은 2015 개정 교육과정 중학교 『국어』, 고등학교 『국어』·『문학』 교과서의 윤동주 시 수록 단원을 비판적으로 고찰한 후 도출한 문제점을 보완하는 윤동주 시의 운율교육 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 중·고등학교 『국어』, 『문학』 교과서의 윤동주 시 수록 단원을 검토한 결과, 그의 시에서 운율교육을 소홀히 했음을 확인하였다. 특히 윤동주의 시는 잦은 교육과정 개정에도 불구하고 단 한 차례의 시기도 빠짐없이 중등학교 교과서에 수록될 만큼 문학사적 위상이 높고, 그의 시에서 운율이 시적 의미 형상화에 이바지하는 바가 큰 것에 비해 중등학교에서 윤동주 시의 운율교육을 등한시해 왔음을 고려할 때, 그의 시를 운율교육 단원의 수록 제재로 활용하여 학습 내용 및 활동을 구상해 보는 것은 유의미한 가치가 있다. 본 논문은 중등교육 현장에서의 윤동주 시 교육 현황과 문제점을 검토하고 이에 대한 대안으로서 윤동주 시의 운율교육 학습 내용과 활동의 구상을 모색했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to explore methods for teaching the poetic rhythm of Yoon Dong-Ju’s works. Specifically, it examines the units featuring Yoon Dong-Ju’s poetry in middle school “Language” textbooks and high school “Language” and “Literature” textbooks under the 2015 Revised Korean National Language Curriculum. Following this, it mainly rectifies the textbooks' shortcomings in the approach to Yoon Dong-Ju’s poetry. Upon examining how Yoon Dong-Ju’s poetry appears in middle school “Language” textbooks and high school “Language” and “Literature” textbooks, the study confirmed that the rhythmic elements of each poem have been neglected. Yoon Dong-ju's poetry has been consistently featured across successive curricular revisions in middle school and high school textbooks, which proves his enduring influence in Korean literary history. Moreover, his works utilize rhythm as essential tools in shaping poetic meaning, while the treatment of their prosody in the textbooks is notably minimal. Given these points, incorporating Yoon Dong-Ju’s poetry as source material for dedicated instruction on rhythm and formulating learning contents and activities is highly valuable. This paper underscores the importance of critically examining the current status and challenges in teaching Yoon Dong-Ju’s poetry at the secondary school level and proposes concrete alternatives to address these shortcomings.
