국문 초록

During the May Fourth period, a large number of Japanese treatises on historical materialism were translated into China, which became an important textual resource for Chinese people to understand the historical materialism. There are specific historical reasons why the historical materialism was able to enter China through Japan’s bridging role. From the perspective of influence, the Japanese dissemination path had a dual impact on the early dissemination of materialist conception of history in China. Under the influence of Japanese writings, Chinese scholars’ understanding of historical materialism underwent a transition from the initial stage of the “economic conception of history”, which was characterized by mechanical determinism, to the stage of in-depth understanding of the doctrine of class struggle. Based on overcoming the shortcomings of the Japanese scholars’ interpretation of historical materialism, Chinese intellectuals further enriched and developed the content of the historical materialism based on the social conditions of China, which demonstrated that their treatment of foreign culture did not stop at simple theoretical reproduction but was characterized by selective absorption and creative application.

영문 초록

“五四”时期，大量关于唯物史观的日文论著被译介至中国，成为中国人理解唯物史观的重要文本资源。唯物史观能够经由日本的桥梁纽带作用进入中国，有其特定的历史缘由。从影响来看，日本传播路径对唯物史观在中国早期传播的影响是双重的，在日文论著影响下，中国学者对唯物史观的理解经历了从初期带有机械决定论色彩的“经济史观”阶段，到深入理解阶级斗争学说阶段的转变。在克服日本学者唯物史观阐释所存缺陷的基础上，中国知识分子立足于中国的社会状况对唯物史观的内容阐释进行了进一步的丰富和发展，这彰显出他们对待外来文化并非止步于简单的理论复制，而是选择性吸收与创造性运用的特点。
