국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 특수학교의 특수교육 기본 교육과정 편성 실태를 분석함으로써 향후 적용될 2022 특수교육 기본 교육과정 적용에 대한 시사점을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 전국 특수학교를 모집단으로 하여 특수교육 기본 교육과정을 적용하는 초등학교 과정 151개교, 중학교 과정 154개교, 고등학교 과정 153개교를 연구 대상으로 하였다. 특수학교의 기본 교육과정 시수(학점)을 수집한 후 군집분석, 판별분석, 교차분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 특수학교 초등학교, 중학교 과정은 ‘국가 시수 중심’, ‘창의적 체험활동 중심’ 순으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 특수학교 고등학교 과정은 ‘국가 시수(학점) 중심’, ‘진로와 직업 중심’, ‘창의적 체험활동 중심’, ‘예술중심’ 순으로 구분되었다. 결론: 특수학교는 기본 교육과정을 국가 시수 중심으로 편성하는 경우가 대부분이었으며, 향후 학생의 특성과 요구를 반영한 학교 교육과정의 개발을 위해 학교의 다양한 구성원, 교육 행정가, 연구자가 함께하는 사례 개발 및확산이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the organization of the Special Education Basic Curriculum in special schools and to suggest implications for the future of the 2022 Special Education Basic Curriculum. Method: The study subjects were 151 elementary schools, 154 middle schools, and 153 high schools that applied the Special Education Basic Curriculum, with special schools nationwide as the population. After collecting the Basic Curriculum hours (credits) of special schools, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis, and cross-analysis were performed. Results: First, special elementary and middle schools were categorized into ‘compliant with national level curriculum’ and ‘focused on creative experiential activities’ categories. Second, special high schools were categorized in the following order: ‘compliant with national level curriculum,’ ‘focused on career and vocation,’ ‘focused on creative experiential activities,’ and ‘focused on the arts(music/fine arts)'. Conclusion: Most special schools have organized their Basic Curriculum based on national level curriculum. In order to develop a school curriculum that reflects the characteristics and needs of future students, it is necessary to develop and disseminate case studies involving various members of the school, educational administrators, and researchers.
