국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 특수교육과 공학 분야의 연구 동향을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 Web of Science (WoS)와 Scopus 데이터베이스를 활용하여 계량서지학적 분석을 수행하고, 두 분야의 거시적 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 연구방법: 1994년부터 2023년까지 30년간 WoS와 Scopus 데이터베이스에서 ‘특수교육’과 ‘공학’ 키워드로 종합적인 검색을 수행하였다. 검색 결과, 총 1,207편의 논문이 검색되었으며, 영어를 원어로 하고, 보고서가 아닌아티클만 포함하며, 서지 정보가 불충분하여 분석이 불가능한 논문은 제외하여 최종적으로 997개의 아티클을분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 연구결과: 계량서지학적 분석 결과, 2000년부터 2023년까지 특수교육과 공학 분야에 대한 관심이 꾸준히 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 2011년 이후 연구의 수가 급격히 증가하면서, 특수교육 내에서 특수교육과 공학의통합에 대한 중요성과 필요성에 대한 인식이 높아지고 있음을 보여준다. 이러한 추세는 특수교육과 공학이 독립적이면서도 상호 연결성을 가지며, 이들에 대한 연구 활동과 학술적 관심이 증가하고 있음을 시사한다. 결론: 본 연구는 특수교육과 공학이 상호 연결성을 가지며, 두 분야에 대한 연구가 다양한 분야로 확장되고 있음을 보여준다. 이러한 연구 결과는 두 분야가 각 분야에 미치는 영향에 대한 기초 자료를 제안하고, 향후 융합 연구로서의 연구를 확장하고 발전시키는데 기여할 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze trends in the literature related to the intersection of special education and technology using bibliometric analysis. Method: A comprehensive search was conducted in the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases using the keywords ‘Special Education’ and ‘Technology’ from 1994-2023. This search yielded 1,207 papers, which were subsquently filtered according to specific inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in a final dataset of 997 papers for analysis. Results: The bibliometric analysis revealed a steady increase in interest in the fields of special education and technology from 2000 to 2023. Particularly, post-2011, there was a significant surge in the number of studies, reflecting a growing recognition of the importance and necessity of integrating technology within special education. This trend underscores the increased research activity and scholarly attention to these interconnected fields. Conclusion: This study highlights the evolving interest and expanding body of research at the intersection of special education and technology. The findings provide a valuable foundation for scholars aiming to explore how these fields intersect and influence each other, thus promoting further research and development in these crucial areas.
