외국인 유학생의 디지털 리터러시 역량 및 경험 분석 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 외국인 유학생들의 디지털 리터러시를 파악하기 위해 디지털 역량과 디지털 리터러시 경험을 조사하고 분석하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내 외국인 유학생 215명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 유학생들은 디지털 윤리 및 디지털 활용 학습 역량은 상위 역량으로 분석되었으나, 디지털 도구 활용 역량 및 데이터 활용 역량은 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 디지털 리터러시 역량의 하위 역량들은 통계적으로 유의미한 관련성을 가지고 있었으며, 디지털 도구 활용 역량이 증가하면 디지털 데이터 활용 역량도 높아진다는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 학습자들의 디지털 리터러시에 영향을 주는 변인으로는 국적, 학년, 전공, 한국어 학습 기간 중에서 학년과 한국어 학습 기간이 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 디지털 리터러시 경험을 조사한 결과 학습자들의 디지털 사용 경험은 풍부한 편으로 확인되었고, 학습, 생활, 정의적 측면에서 다양하게 인터넷을 활용하는 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본고에서는 한국어교육 분야에서 유학생을 대상으로 디지털 리터러시를 함양할 수 있는 교수학습 방향을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate and analyze the digital literacycompetencies and experiences of international students. A survey was conductedamong 215 international students in Korea. The results indicate that while thestudents demonstrate high competencies in digital ethics and digital learningutilization, they exhibit deficiencies in digital tool usage and data utilizationcompetencies. Furthermore, the sub-competencies of digital literacy were found tobe statistically significantly correlated, with an increase in digital tool usagecompetency leading to an improvement in data utilization competency. Among thevariables affecting learner’ digital literacy, academic year and duration of Koreanlanguage learning were found to have significant impacts. The examination of digitalliteracy experiences revealed that learners have abundant digital usage experiences,utilizing the internet in various ways across learning, daily life, and emotionalaspects. Based on these findings, this paper proposes educational strategies toenhance digital literacy among international students in the field of Korean languageeducation.
