학술지 『제주도연구』(1984~2023)의 연구동향 분석 - 제주교육학의 관점에서

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 학술지 『제주도연구』의 연구동향을 구체적으로 분석하는 데 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 『제주도연구』가 발간된 1984년 창간호부터 2023년 제60집까지 40년의 자료를 수집하여 총 515편의 논문을 선정하고 키워드 네트워크 분석을 시행하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 『제주도연구』가 추구해온 인문 학, 사회과학, 자연과학 분야의 융복합적인 연구의 활성화를 위해서 학문 분야 간의 적극적인 교류와 협력을 촉진할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 교육학 분야의 연구자들이 제주지역 교육의 고유성과 보편성을 통합적으로 지향하면서 연구를 추진할 수 있는 다양한 기회를 적극적으로 제공할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 『제주도연구』에서 연구되는 주제는 시기별로 차이가 있으나 “문화”, “지역”, “사회”, “관광”의 주제가 상위에 편중된 것으로 나타나고 있어, 연구주제의 스펙트럼을 다각적으로 확장할 수 있도록 연구자와 연구 환경을 지원할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 제주교육에 대한 향후 연구는 교육학 이외의 사회과학 분야와 연결성을 가질 필요가 있으며 인문학과의 관련성도 향상할 필요가 있다. 이러한 연구 결과는 향후 제주도 연구와 제주교육학 연구를 위한 방향성과 연구주제에 대한 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze specifically the research trends of ‘Journal of Jeju Studies [JJS]’. To accomplish it, the study selected 515 articles from JJS, that had been published from 1981 to 2023, and analyzed them by Keyword Network Analysis. Major results of the study are as follows: First, it needs to cultivate more positive communications and cooperation amongst humanities, social science and natural science in order to vitalize interdisciplinary studies of the three academic areas, that is a major strength of JJS. Second, the various opportunities should be provided positively for educational researchers to pursue the integral studies by harmonizing the uniqueness and generalities of Jeju education. Third, although research subjects of JJS are different according to the time period, the major keywords such as culture, region, society, and tourism were ranked highly by the analysis results. Therefore, it is necessary to support the researchers and to cultivate research environment in order to expand the spectrum of research subjects. Lastly, the future studies of Jeju education need to connect to social science and to link to humanities beyond educational study realm itself. The results would be used as the basic implications for the further researches of Jeju as well Jeju education in terms of research subjects and research directions.
