제주교육학 연구의 방향성 탐색 - ｢아름다운 제주특별자치도｣에 나타난 ‘제주’ 관련 키워드를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 제주교육학 연구의 방향성을 탐색하고자 제주의 학교 현장에서 활용되고 있는 지역화 보완교재 ｢아름다운 제주특별자치도｣의 ‘제주’ 관련 키워드를 도출·분석하였다. 이를 위해 현재까지 출간된 ｢아름다운 제주특별자치도｣를 다섯 시기로 구분하였고, 조사가 가능한 교재 중 6권을 선정하여 ‘제주’ 관련 키워드를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료 및 1997년도 교재(고신택, 1998)에서 ‘제주’ 관련 키워드를 참고하여 1) ‘제주’ 관련 주요 키워드, 2) ‘제주’ 관련 키워드 변화, 3) 영역별 ‘제주’ 관련 키워드 관련 결과를 도출하고 분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과를 토대로 제안한 제주교육학 연구 방향의 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 제주 교육의 현상을 탐구하는 기초적인 연구를 지속적으로 수행해야 한다. 둘째, 제주교육학은 지역의 고유한 내용을 교육 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 지역의 교육 내용으로 정선하는 역할을 수행하여야 한다. 셋째, 제주교육학은 제주의 자원을 교육 프로그램 및 콘텐츠화함으로써 지역화 교육이 활성화될 수 있도록 해야 한다. 본 연구는 제주 교육의 고유성 및 정체성 탐구를 위한 제주교육학 연구의 방향성을 탐색하는 데 의미가 있으며, 제주의 지역화 보완교재 및 교육과정 지역화를 위한 기초데이터로써 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study sought to explore the direction of research on ‘Jeju Educational Science’. For this purpose, we derived and analyzed keywords related to ‘Jeju’ that appeared in ‘Beautiful Jeju Special Self-Governing Province’, which is used in schools in Jeju. First, ‘Beautiful Jeju Special Self-Governing Province’ was divided into five periods, six textbooks available for research were selected, and keywords related to ‘Jeju’ were collected. By referring to the collected keyword data and the ‘Jeju’-related keywords in the 1997 textbook(Ko Shintaek, 1998), 1) ‘Jeju’-related major keywords, 2) ‘Jeju’-related keyword changes, 3) ‘Jeju’-related keywords by area Relevant results were derived and analysis was conducted. Based on the analysis results, implications for the direction of research on Jeju Educational Science were suggested. First, basic research that explores the phenomenon of Jeju education must be continuously conducted. Second, Jeju educational science must play the role of selecting the region's unique content as the region's educational content. Third, Jeju educational science must enable localized education to be revitalized by converting Jeju's resources into educational programs and content. This study is meaningful in exploring the direction of research on Jeju Educational Science to explore the uniqueness and identity of Jeju education. In addition, it can be used as basic data for localization of Jeju's localized complementary teaching materials and localized curriculum.
