안전운전 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 난폭운전과 안전운전에 관한 온라인 설문의 결과(전체 운전자 총 1,215명) 중에서 오토바이 운전자를 제외한 일반 운전자 851명의 응답자료를 분석하여 안전운전 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 교통법규 위반으로 단속에 적발된 경험이 운전자의 운전 태도, 특히 안전운전 성향에 영향을 미치는가를 살펴보았고 안전운전 태도의 영향요인에 성별 차를 비교하였다. 연구결과, 교통법규 위반으로 인한 단속 경험은 안전운전 태도에 유의미한 영향력을 미치지 않으며 운전자 성별에 따른 차이도 없음을 확인하였다. 안전운전 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인에서는 성별 차를 발견하였다. 운전 중 교통사고에 대한 두려움과 충동성은 남녀 모두에게서 안전운전 태도의 중요한 예측요인이었다. 그러나 남성 운전자는 운전 자신감이, 여성 운전자는 평균 운전 거리와 운전 중 시간 압박이 안전운전 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인이라는 차이가 있었다. 이러한 연구결과는 운전자 성별 차를 고려한 안전운전 관련 정책의 중요성과 교통법규 위반의 억제력 확인을 위한 후행 연구의 필요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study utilized an online survey from drivers to analyze the factors influencing safe driving tendencies. In particular, it examined whether experiences of being penalized for traffic law violations affect drivers' attitudes, especially towards safe driving, and compared gender differences in the factors influencing safe driving attitudes. The results indicated that experiences of being penalized for traffic law violations do not significantly impact safe driving tendencies, and this effect does not differ between genders. Gender differences were found in the factors affecting safe driving tendencies. Fear of traffic accidents and impulsivity were significant factors influencing safe driving tendencies for both men and women. There were differences in the factors affecting safe driving attitudes between male and female drivers. For male drivers, driving confidence was a significant factor, while for female drivers, average driving distance and time pressure while driving were influential factors. These findings underscore the importance of considering gender differences in policies related to safe driving and suggest the need for further research to verify the deterrent effect of traffic law violations.
