국문 초록

본 연구는 식민지시기 수학여행 경향과 학생들 경험에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓혀보고자 여학생들의 금강산 수학여행을 검토하였다. 이제까지 일본과 만주지역 수학여행에 집중하여 여기에 내재한 식민권력의 정치성을 밝히는 데에 주목해왔다면, 본고에서는 금강산 수학여행을 통한 여학생들 감성과 의식에 대해 접근을 시도해보고자 교지에 수록된 금강산 수학여행기를 분석의 대상으로 삼았다. 수학여행은 학교공간을 둘러싼 다양한 교육주체가 기대하는 서로 다른 교육적 효과와 함께 지배당국의 정치·경제적 이익, 학생주체의 여행에 대한 열망이 복잡하게 얽혀 있었다. 공립여학교가 일본으로의 수학여행을 진행했다면, 사립여학교의 경우 주로 금강산 수학여행이 선택되었다. 본고에서 살펴본 여학생들의 수학여행기에는 금강산의 수려한 자연경관과 식민지 조선의 역사와 전설을 접하면서 느껴지는 조선에 대한 자부심과 근대교육을 받는 여학생으로서의 자의식이 반영되어 있다. 학생들은 수학여행을 통해 조선의 농촌현실과 식민지 근대 관광을 위해 이루어진 개발의 모습을 목격하고 그간의 불균형을 인식이 하기도 하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to expand the scope of understanding of the trends of colonial school trips and students' experiences. To this end, female students' school trips to Geumgangsan Mountain were reviewed. Until now, it has focused on school trips to Japan and Manchuria, and has focused on revealing the politics of the colonial power inherent in them. In this paper, the Geumgangsan Mountain School Trip Travel Travel Bulletin was analyzed to try to approach the emotions and consciousness of female students through the Geumgangsan School Trip. In the case of school trips, the different educational effects expected by the various subjects of education surrounding the school space, the political and economic interests of the ruling authorities, and the student subject's desire for travel were intricately intertwined. While public girls' schools conducted school trips to Japan, private girls' schools mainly chose Mt. Geumgang. The female students' school trips examined in this paper reflect their pride in Joseon and self-consciousness as a female student receiving modern education, as they experience the beautiful natural scenery of Geumgangsan Mountain, the history and legends of colonial Joseon. Through school trips, students witnessed the rural reality of Joseon and the development made for modern colonial tourism, and recognized the imbalance so far.
