국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 자녀와 함께 거주하지 않는 노인의 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위함이며 이를 위해 제8차(2020년) 고령화연구패널조사 자료를 이용하였다. 대상자는 65세 이상의 노인으로, 현재 자녀가 1명 이상 있지만 동거하지 않고 있는 대상자로, 2019명(Unweighted n=2019, Weighted n=3431789) 이었다. 대상자의 삶의 질 영향요인을 파악하기 위해 Stuifbergen 등의 the conceptual model of health promotion and quality of life을 근거로 인구학적 특성, 자녀관계 특성, 일상의 어려움, 건강관련 행위 변수를 구성하였다. 삶의 질 영향요인을 파악하기 위해 범주형 변수를 더미변수로 통제한 상태에서 복합표본 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 주 1회 이상 규칙적 운동 여부, 친한 사람들과 만남 유무는 인구학적 특성, 자녀관계 특성 및 일상의 어려움을 통제한 상태에서도 삶의 질에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 통해, 노인의 자녀관계를 고려하여 건강상태로 인한 활동제한이 있는 노인에게 건강증진행위를 향상시키는 프로그램개발을 제언한다.

영문 초록

The goal was to pinpoint factors affecting the quality of life in older adults not living with their children, using 2020 Aging Research Panel Survey data. Demographic characteristics, child relationship characteristics, daily difficulties, and health-related behavior variables were were constructed based on Stuifbergen et al.'s conceptual model of health promotion and quality of life. Multiple sample hierarchical regression analysis, with categorical variables controlled as dummy variables, identified influencing factors on quality of life. The results highlighted that regular exercise (at least once a week) and social interaction with close acquaintances significantly impacted quality of life, even after controlling for demographic characteristics, child relationship characteristics, and daily challenges. This underscores the need for policy and service development to promote exercise and build social connections among older adults not living with their children. Additionally, the study recommends health-promotion programs tailored for elderly individuals with activity limitations due to health conditions, considering their child relationships.
