신재효 사설 등서본의 특징과 총서발간 소고(小考)

국문 초록

이 논문은 동리 신재효 사설자료 총서 간행을 목적으로 현재 전하고 있는 신재효 사설 등서본의 기초 조사 작업에서 비롯되었다. 성두본, 신씨가장본, 신오위장본, 새터본, 고수본 등 기타 여러 등서본을 조사하는 과정에서 각 등서 본의 형성배경, 등서자의 태도, 형성 기간 등에 있어서 각기 나름의 특징을 가지고 있음을 알게 되었다. 필자는 전집 형태의 등서본을 중심으로 등서본의 재질, 장수, 크기, 선장법, 자행, 괘선, 문체, 등서일 등을 조사하고 각 등서본을 분석하였는데，이러한 과정을 통해서 등서일이 기록되지 않은 등서본의 경우도 그 등서 시기를 가늠할 수 있었고，성두본의 경우는 책의 일정하게 책의 편제가 규격화되는 과정도 살필 수 있었다. 또한 여러 등서본들도 서로 비교해 볼 수 있어서 그 특징을 도출해 낼 수 있었다. 무엇보다도 등서본의 형성배경, 문체, 독특한 기호, 필사자의 행적 등을 통해서 등서본과 그 저본의 관계를 일정하게 가늠할 수 있었던 것이 매우 흥미로웠다. 그리하여 등서의 선후관계가 드러나고 1차본 2차본 3차본 여부과 관계를 규명할 수 있었다. 필자는 이어 지금까지 신재효 사설본의 영인본 및 주석본의 구성을 검토했다 영인본과 주석본은 일관되게 ‘부재’하는 신재효 원본을 충실하게 재현해 내기 위해서 1차본을 저본으로 하고 1차 2차본을 비교 대조본으로 삼고 있었다. 이러 한 검토를 거쳐서 필자는, 신재효 사설 자료 총서가 그 목적이 여러 등서본을 비교 대조하여 신재효 사설을 사실적으로 연구할 수 있게 하는데 있는 만큼 기존 영인본 및 주석본의 전략을 채택하여 바탕별(단가 가사집 포함)로 총서를 발간하는 등의 방향을 제시했다.

영문 초록

This thesis is based on investigating of SinjaehycOs Pansori wordbook mimeographs for the purpose of series publication of them. There is Seongdubon, Skinssigajangbon, Shinowijangbon, Saeteobon, Gosubon etc. in Sinjaehyo’s Pansori wordbook mimeograph. During the course of the investigation, I learned that these mimeographs had been got properties of its own by historical background, by duplicator’s attitude, and by formation period. I examined and analyzed these in terms of material, amount of leafs, size, wire-bound, number of lines, vertical lines, literary style, date of transcription. Through these operations, I could guess the date of transcription of mimeographs, and in the case of Seongdubon, noticed the process of standardization. Also, Because I could analyze different kinds of Mimeograph, I elicited features of each kinds of mimeograph. Most of all, it was interesting that I can guess the sequential relationship between different kind of mimeographs, through out of historical background, literary style, unique symbol, and duplicator’s deeds. So, I could probe whether they are primary mimeograph or secondary mimeograph. Next, I examined the book edited with notes by Kang-Hanyeong, and photoprint book on Shinjaehyo’s Pansori wordbook. The annotator Kang used primary mimeographs first for these books, and if not able, used secondary one. Through these reviews, I submitted a direction that the series have to be published based on each Batang because publishment of the series of Sinjaehyo’s Pansori Wordbook is aimed to be compared with different kinds of mimeograph.
