국문 초록

본고는 고창판소리박물관 소장 『興甫歌』(聲樂會 본)는 여러 정황으로 볼 때 조선성악연구회에서 필사되었다. 이 책의 필사기(筆寫記)가 그 근거이다. 이 소리책에 실린 흥보가의 바디는 박봉술의 흥보가와 거의 동일하다. 현행 동편제 흥보가는 송만갑-김정문-박녹주․강도근으로 전승되는 소리가 널리 불리고 있다. 이 박봉술의 흥보가가 송만갑……박만조-박봉술로 전승된 것이 맞다면, 이 소리책은 조선성악연구회에서 송만갑 계열의 흥보가를 배운 소리꾼이 학습용으로 필사한 것일 가능성이 높다. 이 소리책은 1940년대에 불리던 동편제 흥보가의 모습을 보여주는 문헌으로 가치가 높다. 이 책을 통해서 광복 이전에 불리던 흥보가의 전체적인 바디의 모습을 구체적으로 파악할 수 있다. 이러한 사실은 판소리가 특정 시점에서부터 어떤 방향으로 변화해 왔다는 것을 살필 수 있는 매우 유력한 근거가 된다. 물론 유성기음반을 통해서도 변화의 실상을 추적할 수는 있지만, 한 바디의 전체적인 모습, 총체적인 변화를 실증할 수 있다는 점에서 매우 중요한 보완자료가 된다. 이 소리책과 현재 전승된 판소리를 비교해 보면, 박봉술은 고제 흥보가의 모습을 많이 지니고 있는 반면, 박녹주는 흥보가를 자신의 예술관대로 극도로 정교하게 가다듬은 것이 확인된다. 이 소리책은 장차 현대 판소리가 어떻게 보존되고, 어떤 방향으로 전승, 변화되어 왔는가를 밝히는 하나의 지표가 될 것이다. 이 희귀자료는 근대 판소리가 변화해 온 모습을 비교해 볼 수 있기 때문에 판소리사 연구에 매우 중요한 자료이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine Heungbo-ga (the version of Seongakhoe, Society for the Study of Vocal Music), possessed by Gochang Pansori Museum. This Heungbo-ga, given various situations, is deemed to have been copied from Joseon Seongak Yeonguhoe (Society for the Study of Joseon Vocal Music). The ground for such copying is the record on copying of this book. The body of Heungbo-ga depicted in this Sori-chaek (lyric book) is nearly the same as that of Bak Bong-sul (a Pansori singer)'s Heungbo-ga. The current popular Dongpyeonje Heungbo-ga version has been handed down from Song Man-gap, Kim Jeong-mun, Bak Nok-ju (a Pansori singer), and Gang Do-geun. If this Heungbo-ga of Bak Bong-sul is the version handed down to Bank Bong-sul from Song Mang-gap, and Bak Man-jo, there is a great possibility that this Sori-chaek was copied for use in learning by a singer who at Joseon Seongakhoe learned the Song Man-gap's version of Heungbo-ga. This Sori-chaek, which shows how the Heungbo-ga version of Dongpyeonje sung in the 1940s was, is highly valuable. This book allows us to specifically examine how the whole body of Heungbo-ga sung before Korea's liberation was. This fact serves as a very important ground to look at how Pansori (narrative song) developed and changed from a particular time. Of course, phonographic records enable the tracking of trends of changes, but the book is very important in empirically examining the whole body of the song and total changes. When this Sori-chaek is compared with the currently handed-down Pansori, Bak Bong-sul's version carries much of the ancient Heungbo-ga, while Bak Nok-ju's Heungbo-ga was much refined according to his view of arts. This Sori-chaek will serve as a guideline to reveal how Pansori was handed down, changed and preserved. It enables the comparison of how various modern Pansori versions were changed, making it a very important data in studying the history of Pansori.
