국문 초록

이 논문은 판소리 세계화의 가능성과 방법을 탐색을 목표로 씌어진 것이다. 이 논문에서는 판소리의 유네스코 인류구전무형유산걸작 선정이 판소리의 세계화를 위한 중요한 계기가 될 것으로 보고, 판소리의 세계화를 세 단계로 구분하여 제시하였다. 제1단계는 ‘인지 단계’로서, 판소리에 관한 사항을 지적으로 인식하는 단계로 규정하였다. 제단계는 ‘향유 단계’로서, 판소리를 감상할 수 있는 감성을 길러 실제 감상할 수 있는 단계로 규정하였다. 제3단계는 ‘활용 단계로서, 판소리의 음악적 요소를 활용하여 전세계적 차원에서 새로운 예술을 창조하는 단계로 규정하였는데, 이 단계를 바로 판소리 세계화의 최종적 단계로 보았다. 판소리 세계화의 장애 요소로는 판소리 사설을 이루고 있는 언어의 난해함, 판소리의 표현 매체인 ‘소리’ 그 자체의 독특함, 양식화 되지 않은 너름새, 악보의 부재, 연출 개념의 부재 등을 들고, 이에 대한 해결책을 모색하였다. 판소리 세계화를 위한 전략으로는 대중화를 통한 세계화 지향, 판소리 사설 번역을 통한 소개와 공연, 볼거리를 갖춘 창극의 활용, 다양한 크로스오버(crossover)의 시도, 해외 동포의 세계화 거점 활용, 판소리 전문기관의 설립을 제안하였다. 또한 판소리 세계화의 목표를 우리 민족의 위대함을 자랑하는 데 두지 말고, 문화간의 포용적이며 조화로운 교류를 통해서 세계 평화에 기여하는 매개체로서 사용하는 데 둘 것을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims at finding out the possibility and method of pansori globalization. Pasori was designated as a masterpiece of the oral and intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 2003. This will be a very important opportunity to promote pansori to the world. So I proposed three steps of pansori globalization in this study. The 1st step is the stage of cognition. It is defined as a stage of intellectual cognition of the subjects about pansori. The 2nd step is the stage of amusement. This is the stage that people cultivate their ability to understand pansori emotionally so that they can enjoy it. The 3rd step is the stage of practice. This is defined as the stage that people can make the best use of pansori. and create the new arts. I tried to find out the solutions about the obstacles of pansori globalization, such as abstruse language, inimitable character of the sound which is the main media of pansori, characteristic neoreumsae(gesture) that is not formalized, absence of musical note, absence of dramaturgy. The solutions of pansori globalization are suggested as follows. They are aiming globalization by popularization, public performance and introduce using translation of pansori literature, using changgeuk(pansori theatre) with feasts, various attempts of crossover with other genre, using Korean residents abroad as a base camp for pansori globalization, establishing special institute for pansori. In addition, I suggest pansori globalization should contribute to the world peace using pansori as a media of comprehensive transaction between nations and cultures.
