국문 초록

이 연는 <심청전>의 한 부분인 공양미 삼백 석 시주 약속에 대한 심청의 반응이 어떻게 변화하고 있는가를 짚어보고, 이러한 변이가 <심청전> 향유의 어떻게 관련되는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. <심청전>이 계속해서 다른 자료로 생산되는 변화의 양상은 그 만큼 많은 사람들이 <심청전>을 향유하였다는 것을 의미함과 동시에 <심청전>에 적극적으로 반응하였음을 의미한다.이러한 측면에서 본다면 새로운 <심청전> 자료의 생산은 문학작품과 향유자간의 소통 결과이다. 이에 이 연구에서는 <심청전> 안에서 심청의 반응이 자료에 따라 어떻게 변화하는지를 보았다. 심봉사의 공양미 삼백 석 약속과 이에 대한 심청의 반응은 매우 미시적인 것이라 할 수도 있지만, 심청 반응이 자료에 따라 달리 나타나는 양상은 <심청전>의 향유자와의 서사적 소통을 드러내는 단서의 의미를 지닌다.이를 위해 우선 심청의 반응 유형을 (1)좌절, (2)혼자 걱정, (3)걱정하지 않고 위로하는 세 가지로 나누고, <심청전>의 서사적 맥락과 변화의 방향이라는 측면에서 의미를 살펴보았다. 그리고 심청 반응의 자료에 따른 변화를 당대의 <심청전> 향유의 지향성과 소통이라는 측면에서 의미를 도출하였다.

영문 초록

This paper focused on the various Shimchung's response to her father's words that he made a promise to donate three hundred straw sacks to the Buddhist temple Mong-Un-Sa in Shim-Chung-Cheon. Shim-Chung-Cheon shows the various change through reproducing new versions continuously. This aspect of continuous Shim-Chung-Cheon versions production means that so many people enjoyed Shim-Chung-Cheon largely and responsed Shim-Chung-Cheon and expressed their own response actively. In this point of view, new version of Shim-Chung-Cheon is the result of the communication between literature and reader. So this study pays attention to Shimchung's reaction, and researched how it varies in the another version of Shim-Chung-Cheon. This study, first, classified Shimchung's response to three types : (1)type of Shimchung's frustration, (2)type of Shimchung's anxiety by herself secretly to her father, (3)type of comforting each other without anxiety. And it is revealed what is the difference of these three types one another, and the relationship among these types. Finally, it was researched how the variation of Shimchung's response was relate with the entire formation and development of Shim-Chung-Cheon, and revealed that the variation of Shimchung's response flowed from type(1) to from(3). Such changes of Shimchung's response shows the intention of people who enjoyed Shim-Chung-Cheon.
