노인복지관 이용 노인 대상 로봇 활용프로그램의 효과성 검증 연구: 사회적 건강을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 로봇 활용 프로그램이 노인복지관 이용노인의 사회적 건강에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 노인복지 관 이용자 60세 이상의 남녀로 구성된 실험집단 29명, 통제집단 35명을 대상으로 2022년 2월부터 총 8회기(회기당 60분)의 프로그램(실벗 2개, 보미 3개 교실 운영)을 실시하였다. 효과성 검증을 위해 대응표본 t검정(Paired t-test), 공분산분석(Ancova), 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하여, 사회적 건강에 대한 사전-사후 변화와 집단 간 차이, 프로그램 참여와 사회적 건강과의 관계성을 검증하였다. 분석 결과, ‘실벗’활용 프로그램 참여는 노인복지관 이용 노인의 사회적 지지와 주관적 고립에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으며, ‘보미’활용 프로그램 참여는 사회적 지지에만 일부 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 로봇을 활용하여 인지기능 저하노인 대상으로 주로 인지기능에 대한 효과성만 살펴본 기존 연구의 한계를 극복하고, 노인복지관 이용 노인을 대상으로 로봇 활용 프로그램을 개발하여 그 효과성을 사회적 건강 변수로 확장하여 검증했다는 학문적 의의를 가진다. 본 연구는 로봇 활용 집단 프로그램의 사회적 건강 증진에 대한 효과성 검증을 통해 노인복지관에 기존에 도입되었던 로봇의 기능을 확대하여 다양한 컨텐츠 개발의 필요성을 제고하고, 노인복지관 등 지역사회 기관과 같은 실천현장에서도 이용자들에게 적절한 도움을 줄 수 있는 로봇 등의 고령친화기술의 활용방안을 함께 모색⋅발굴해야함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to verify the effect of robots on the social health of older adults using Social welfare centers. A total of eight programs (60 minutes per session) were conducted from February 2022 for men and women aged 60 or older in the control group (n=35) and experimental groups (Silbot users, n=14; Bomi users, n=21). The paired t-test and the analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), and hierarchical regression analysis were used to compare the outcome variables of the experimental group (Silbot users, Bomi users) and the control group. As a result, it was confirmed that the group participating in the 'Silbot' program had a positive effect on both social support and subjective isolation compared to the control group, and the group using 'Bomi' confirmed a partial positive effect only on social support. The results of this study have the significance of overcoming the limitations of previous studies that looked at the effectiveness of the cognitive function of the elderly with cognitive decline, and extending the effectiveness of robot utilization programs to social health variables for the older adults using welfare centers for the older adults. This study verifies the effectiveness of group programs using robots for social health promotion and expands the function of robots in senior welfare centers to increase the need for developing various contents. In addition, it was suggested that organizations such as senior welfare centers should seek and discover ways to utilize elderly-friendly technologies such as robots.
