국문 초록

『인공지능시대 인간의 조건』은 인공지능을 사이버네틱스와 인지자본주의의 연관성 측면에서 디지털 플랫폼을 데이터와 인공지능의 결합체라는 관점에서 분석하고 디지털 환경에서 발생하는 개체화와 분할체화의 순환적 인과관계의 측면 그리고 기계적 예속과 사회적 복종이라는 키워드를 중심으로 인지자본주의에 대해 논의를 전개한다. 인지자본주의와 그에 대한 비판적 관점을 기반으로 전개하는 방식은 인공지능이 인간 존재와 삶에 미치는 영향에 대한 비판적 시선을 형성하는데 실질적인 도움을 준다는 점에서 주목할 필요가 있다. 본고에서는 『인공지능시대 인간의 조건』을 인지자본주의, 플랫폼, 분할된 개체라는 세 개의 키워드를 중심으로 인공지능 시대의 본질과 인공지능의 메커니즘을 인식하는 방식과 그에 대한 인간의 인식과 대응 방법을 중심으로 논의한다. 자동화와 피드백을 통한 환경 변화에 적응하는 독립적인 자동화기계의 기초를 제시한 사이버네틱스는 인공지능의 형태로 진화하여 인간과 기계 사이의 통제 주도권을 기존의 인간에서 기계로 이동시켰고 인터넷과 스마트폰의 일상적 활용과 인공지능의 발달은 필연적으로 데이터, 정보, 지식 사이의 상호전환의 속도를 높이면서 전환의 자동화를 촉진한다. 플랫폼은 정보와 지식이 새로운 부를 창출하는 근원으로 보는 인지자본주의의 근간이 되었다. 인지자본주의에서는 플랫폼이 산업자본주의의 공장을 대신함으로써 노동자의 노동 역시 대부분 플랫폼을 통해 수행되는 체제를 구축한다. 인지자본주의의 기반은 플랫폼과 플랫폼을 통해 생성된 빅데이터 그리고 빅데이터를 의미있는 정보로 조합하여 구체적인 이윤으로 탈바꿈하도록 유도하는 알고리즘이 구축한 메커니즘이다. 플랫폼은 특정한 목적에 따라 국가장치가 접속하는 것을 수용함으로써 국가권력과의 공존을 모색한다. 기계적 예속과 사회적 복종의 혼합태를 기반으로 구축된 지배체제는 사람들의 계급의식이나 비판적 사회의식이 다른 형태로 변화하도록 만든다. 이전처럼 자본과 노동의 대립이나 모순이 아니라 생활세계에서 형성되는 소비자 의식과 결합된 주체성의 형태로 띠게 된다. 플랫폼은 개인의 행위를 수치로 환원하는 분할체화와 분할체화된 수치들의 데이터세트를 다시 개인에게 되돌리는 조각주체화를 반복하면서 개인의 사고와 행위를 자동화한다. 플랫폼 기업들이 높은 수익을 거두면서 성장할 수 있는 원인은 개인들의 자발적 참여와 상호작용을 통해 생산되고 공유되는 다양한 콘텐츠와 이 과정에서 생성되는 데이터의 축적에 있지만 플랫폼 기업은 이를 최대한 은폐한다. 플랫폼이 노동자에 대한 책임을 최소화하여 자신의 이익을 극대화하면서도 이용자의 활동결과물에 대한 데이터는 무제한으로 수취하는 이중적 축적체제를 구축할 수 있는 것은 ‘플랫폼 지대’로 기능하기 때문이다. 플랫폼 기업은 토지자본을 통한 지대와 산업자본을 이용한 이윤을 모두 축적하는 이중적 축적체제를 실제화한 디지털 지주이다. 결국 인지자본주의는 플랫폼 자본주의로서 플랫폼 지대라는 이중적 축적체제를 통해 유지되는 것이다. 따라서 개인들이 플랫폼 밖으로 탈주를 감행하고 분할체에서 실체적인 몸으로의 회복을 시도할 의지를 어떻게 활성화할 것인지에 대한 더욱 구체적인 논의가 필요하다. 자본과 노동의 재배치와 축적의 일반적 조건의 변화를 면밀히 관찰하고 능동적으로 대응하기 위한 정밀하면서도 비판적인 논의를 더 이상 미룰 수 없는 시기가 도래했다는 인식의 확대가 시급하다.

“The human condition in the age of artificial intelligence” analyzes artificial intelligence from the perspective of a combination of data and artificial intelligence in terms of the connection between cybernetics and cognitive capitalism. The human condition in the age of artificial intelligence] discusses cognitive capitalism, focusing on the keywords of mechanical subjugation and social subordination and the cyclical causal relationship between individuation and disintegration occurring in the digital environment. Cognitive capitalism and the way it develops based on its critical perspective helps to form a critical perspective on the impact of artificial intelligence on human existence and life. In this paper, “The human condition in the age of artificial intelligence” is centered on the three keywords of cognitive capitalism, platform, and divided entity, and the way to recognize the essence of the AI era and the mechanism of artificial intelligence, as well as the human perception and understanding of it. Discuss how to respond. Cybernetics, which presented the basis for independent automated machines that adapt to environmental changes through automation and feedback, evolved in the form of artificial intelligence and shifted control initiative between humans and machines from humans to machines. The daily use of the Internet and smartphones and the development of artificial intelligence inevitably speed up the inter-transformation between data, information and knowledge and promote automation of the transition. Platforms have become the backbone of cognitive capitalism, which sees information and knowledge as a source of new wealth. In industrial capitalism, if factories that produce products were the main foundation of the economy, in cognitive capitalism, platforms take their place, establishing a system in which most of the labor of workers is also performed through platforms. The foundation of cognitive capitalism is a mechanism built by platforms, big data generated through platforms, and algorithms that combine big data into meaningful information to transform it into concrete profits. The platform seeks coexistence with state power by accommodating access by state devices for specific purposes. The ruling system built on the basis of a mixture of mechanical subjugation and social submission causes people's class consciousness or critical social consciousness to change into other forms. It is not the confrontation or contradiction between capital and labor as before, but takes the form of subjectivity combined with consumer consciousness formed in the life world. The platform automates individual thoughts and actions while repeating divisionalization, which reduces individual actions to numerical values, and fragmentation, which returns the data set of divided figures back to the individual. The reason why platform companies can grow with high profits lies in the accumulation of various contents produced and shared through voluntary participation and interaction of individuals and the data generated in this process, but platform companies conceal this as much as possible. It is because the platform plays the role of ‘platform rent price’ that it can build a dual accumulation system that receives unlimited data on the results of users’ activities while maximizing their own profits by minimizing responsibility for workers. A platform company is a digital landlord that realizes a dual accumulation system that accumulates both rent profits through land capital and profits using industrial capital. In the end, cognitive capitalism as platform capitalism is maintained through the dual accumulation system of platform rent price. Therefore, a more specific discussion is needed on how to activate the will of individuals to escape from the platform and attempt to recover from a divided body to a substantial body.
