친환경차 보조금 정책 변화가 자동차 수요에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

최근 국내 친환경차 구매보조금 및 세금감면 정책이 점진적으로 축소되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는친환경차 대상의 구매보조금과 세금감면 정책의 폐지가 국내 자동차 시장의 수요에 미치는 영향을실증 분석하였다. 2018년 1월부터 2022년 5월까지의 자동차 등록 대수, 가격 및 제원 정보를 사용하여월별 패널데이터를 구축하여 활용하였다. 3단계 네스티드 로짓모형을 추정한 결과, 친환경차 대상구매보조금 정책 폐지 시 친환경차의 판매량은 크게 감소하였으나 내연기관차와 하이브리드차의판매량은 미미하게 증가하였다. 친환경차 대상의 구매보조금과 세금감면 정책이 동시에 폐지될 경우친환경차의 판매량은 더 크게 감소하였으며, 그 외의 연료 차량의 판매량에는 큰 영향을 미치지않아 친환경차와 그 밖의 연료 차량 간의 대체성은 상당히 약한 것으로 확인되었다.

영문 초록

Recently, purchase subsidies and tax reduction policies for domestic eco-friendly vehicle have been gradually reduced. This study empirically analyzed the effect of the abolition of purchase subsidies and tax reduction policies for eco-friendly vehicles on demand in the domestic automobile market. Monthly panel data were constructed and utilized using information on the number of car registrations, prices, and specifications from January 2018 to May 2022. The estimation results from three-stage Nested Logit model suggest that the abolition of purchase subsidies for eco-friendly cars led to a significant decrease in their sales, but there was a very slight increase in the sales of internal combustion engine and hybrid cars. If the purchase subsidy and tax reduction policies for eco-friendly cars were abolished at the same time, sales of eco-friendly cars decreased further, and the substitution between eco-friendly cars and other fuel-powered vehicles was found to be quite weak.
