국문 초록

본 연구는 중국어 어휘 범주가 자모어의 출현으로 인해 한자어와 비한자어로 나뉘게 되었고, 두 범주의 내적 구성이 결코 균일하지 않아 기존 어휘 범주와의 관계가 착종될 수밖에 없음을 분석하였다. 우선 기존의 연구에서는 자모어를 자모로 표기하는 모든 어형을 가리키는 개념으로 설정한 바 있는데, 본 연구는 표기형이 아니라 어형의 본질 측면에서 볼 때 알파벳 표기형과 한자 표기형이 공존하는 어형은 순수한 자모어로 볼 수 없음을 논의하고, 자모어형으로만 존재하는 어휘를 자모어로 규정하였다. 이와 같이 자모어를 엄격하게 규정하여도 한자어와 자모어 안에는 각각 차용어와 중국어 고유 어형이 모두 존재하며, 고유어와 차용어를 더 세분하면 각각의 어휘 범주가 하나의 지평에서 한자어, 자모어 두 범주와 일관성 있는 스펙트럼을 형성하지 못한다. 이는 한국어, 일본어, 베트남어에서 고유어, 한자어, 차용어가 하나의 지평 위에 분포하는 것과 다른 점이며, 한자어만을 사용해 왔던 중국어 어휘체계의 특징, 자생형 자모어가 다수 출현하는 중국어 환경 등에서 기인한 것으로 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes that the Chinese lexical category has been divided into Sino words and non-Sino words due to the rapid increase of alphabetic words in the 1990s, and the internal composition of the two categories is by no means uniform, so the relationship with existing lexical categories is bound to be confusing. First of all, the existing studies set up the concept of alphabetic words as a concept that refers to all word forms that are written with the alphabet, but this study confirmed that there are words that are written in the alphabet but cannot be considered as pure alphabetic words, and defined alphabetic words as words that exist only in alphabetic form, in terms of the essence of the word form. In this way, even if we strictly define alphabetic words based on the nature of the word form, there are both loan words and native Chinese word forms within Sino words and alphabetic words, respectively, and if we further subdivide native words and loan words into native Sino words, Chinese alphabetic words, loan-translations(calques), Sino-xenic words, hybrid words, and phonetic loans, each lexical category does not form a consistent spectrum with the two categories of Sino words and alphabetic words. This is different from the distribution of native words, Sino words, and loan words on a single horizon in Korean, Japanese, and Vietnamese, and can be attributed to the characteristics of the Chinese lexical system, which has long been characterized by the use of only Sino forms(Hanzici), and the Chinese environment, which is characterized by self-creating alphabetic words.
