영문 초록

Ci of Li Yu and Li Qingzhao are similar in background, subject matter, and style, ranking as Dual Li’s Ci together. They are also known as the Gloomy Feeling Ci, because a feeling of sorrow is the focus of their work. However, the results of existing research are limited to study the theme and background of their works. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to analyze Dual Li’s the Gloomy Feeling Ci in concrete terms of how to express constituent elements of sorrow. Dual Li’s Ci make full use of the plant images which commonly appear on a close aspect in their the Gloomy Feeling Ci: 76% on Li Yu’s and 84% on Li Qingzhao’s whole work. Thus, the similarity of Dual Li’s Ci can be analyzed in the plant images acquiring over the majority. It is different to apply the plant images to Dual Li’s Ci, although they make an appearance in order to express a life of ups and downs. Li Yu’s Ci deals with them as a type in a work, while Li Qingzhao’s Ci deals with them as several types in a work or repeats as a type in various works. Dual Li’s Ci apply the singular plant to the plural and the plant with a special name to a general title. The plant images are also used by metaphor and symbol in Dual Li’s The Gloomy Feeling Ci. Metaphor seems to correlate with the description of not emotions but outward appearance. Symbol plays important roles in stirring up emotions and empathy, implying longing for times past, and remembering the good old days. The results for above help Dual Li’s The Gloomy Feeling Ci to be understood, investigating validity of ranking together from the viewpoint of analyzing the similarity of plant images.
