고구려 건국연대 재정립과 만주 영토권의 상관관계 연구

국문 초록

동북공정은 만주를 중국영토로 고착시키기 위해서 중국이 벌이는 영토공정 중 하나다. 동북공정의 기본적인 설정은 고구려와 대진국 발해의 역사를 중국 변방 제후국의 역사로 만듦으로써 고구려와 대진국 발해 영토의 기반인 만주를 중국 영토로 고착시키겠다는 것이다. 중국이 벌이고 있는 동북공정에 대응하기 위해서는 고구려가 중국 제후국이 아니었다는 것을 증명해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 고구려가 중국의 한나라와 대등한 관계의 나라였다는 것을 밝히고자 한다. 그 방법으로는 먼저 고구려 건국연대를 올바르게 재정립한다. 그리고 재정립된 고구려 건국연대에 의해서 한 무제가 한사군을 설치했던 기원전 108년의 고구려 영역을 올바로 밝힌다. 한 무제가 멸망시킨 고조선은 위만조선뿐이며 한사군의 위치 역시 요하 서쪽 난하 주변에 겨우 존재했다는 것을 증명하는 것이다. 신채호를 비롯한 역사가들은, 『삼국사기』에 고구려 건국연대가 기원전 37년으로 기록된 것은 김부식의 고구려 역사 삭감으로, 고구려 건국연대가 200여년은 앞당겨져야 한다고 주장해 왔다. 그리고 북한에서는 손영종의 학설에 따라서 기원전 277년을 공식적인 고구려 건국연대로 인정하고 있다. 그러나 손영종의 이론에는 문제가 있다. 본고에서는 손영종이 주장한 기원전 277년에 대한 모순을 지적하고 바로잡음과 동시에 기존 학자들이 주장한 고구려 건국연대를 바르게 정립하기 위한 이론을 활용하여, 고구려 건국연대를 기원전 217년으로 재정립한다. 그리고 그에 따른 기원전 108년경의 고구려 영역과 한사군의 위치를 비정하여 고구려가 한나라와 대등한 관계였으므로 동북공정이 허상이라는 것을 규명한다. 또한 올바로 비정한 한사군의 위치가 만주의 영토권을 주장할 수 있는 근거 중 하나가 된다는 것도 제시한다.

영문 초록

The China’s Northeast Process is one of the territorial processes undertaken by China to fix Manchuria as Chinese territory. The basic setting of the China’s Northeast Process is to make Manchuria, the base of Goguryeo and Balhae territory, a Chinese territory by making the history of Goguryeo and Balhae, a border country of China. In order to respond to China's Northeast Process, it is necessary to prove that Goguryeo was not a border country of China. Therefore, this study intends to reveal that Goguryeo was a country on an equal footing with the Han Dynasty of China. First, the foundation of Goguryeo is properly reset. And it reveals the area of Goguryeo in 108 B.C., when Hanwudi established Hansagun by the reestablished Goguryeo Founding Regiment. It proves that Hanwudi destroyed only Wimanjoseon not Gojoseon, and the location of Hansagun was also located in the around of Luan River of the west of Liaohe. Historians, including Shin Chae-ho, have argued that the foundation year of Goguryeo should be advanced by 200 years, the date of the founding of Goguryeo recorded as 37 B.C. in the History of the Three Kingdoms was the history reducing by Kim Pu-sik. And according to the theory of Son Young-jong in North Korea, 277 BC is officially recognized as the founding year of Goguryeo. However, there is a problem with Son Young-jong's theory. This paper points out and corrects the contradiction of 277 BC as claimed by Son Young-jong, and at the same time re-establishes the founding date of Goguryeo as 217 BC by using the theory to correctly establish the foundation of Goguryeo as claimed by existing scholars. Then, by determining the location of the Goguryeo and Hansa-gun around 108 BC, it clarifies that the China’s Northeast Process is an illusion because Goguryeo had an equal footing with the Han dynasty. It also suggests that the position of Han Sa-gun becomes one of the evidence for claiming Manchuria's territorial rights.
