국문 초록

본고는 김해 금관가야 세력의 철부 생산과 유통망을 규명하는 것이 목적이다. 김해지역 고분 출토 철부 중 실용구로 사용된 3개 기종(판상·주조·단조)의 변화양상과 제철유적과의 관계망 연구를 통해 철부 유통망 추정로 및 변화양상을 파악했으며, 총 4단계로 구분된다. Ⅰ단계는 기원전 1세기 후반~기원후 2세기 중반으로 중서부지역 정치체과 영남동부 세력과의 교류를 통해 해반천과 조만강 내 소규모 취락 내 단야공정을 통한 철부의 가공 및 유통이 이루어졌다. Ⅱ단계는 2세기 후반~3세기 후반이며 예안천과 화포천집단이 소백산맥 교통로를이용해 중서부지역과 영남 동남부지역과의 교역로 역할을 하며, 서-남해안 일대 세력의 중간기항지를 경유한 김해와 호남지역 세력과의 간접교류가 성행하며 양동리집단을 중심으로 한 호혜적 교역형태를 가진 철부유통망이 형성된다. Ⅲ단계는 4세기 전반에서 5세기 초반으로화포천의 하계리일대에서 제련 및 정련공정을 통한 판상철부 생산→조만강 하류역의 철부 저장 및 소비집단→ 해반천 봉황토성을 통한 중심-주변으로의 재분배형태 유통망이 형성된다. Ⅳ단계는. 5세기 전~후반으로 여래리 제철기지가 조성된 화포천을 중심으로 북쪽 낙동강 하류역 생철리 일대와 남쪽의 진례분지를 거쳐 조만강과 합류하는 소지류천 일대의 목탄요와 조만강의 관동리 진지와 봉황토성을 중심으로주변 읍락이 소비지가 되는 지역시장이 형성된다. 이로 보아 금관가야는 한성백제와 철부를 매개로 한 일종의 원거리 교역을 바탕으로 제철기술 및 진식대금구 등의 위세품의 분배를 통한 사여체제를 자국의 현실에 맞게 수용한 것으로 보인다. 즉, 통형동기를 통한 중소 읍락과의결속과 유통망을 구축, 통제함으로써 낙동강과 남해-현해탄의 접점이자 백제와 호남 동부세력, 왜와의 교역 중간거점기지로 변화한다. 5세기대에 이르면 철부의 가치 하락과 주변세력권의 자체수급에 따른 중간기점으로서의 봉황토성 기능이 쇠퇴하면서 대외교역은 침체되나, 고김해만 일원 하천 수계망 일원에 소비지로 이루어진 지역시장 유통망은 유지되는 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the iron production and distribution network of Gimhae Geumgwan Gaya forces. The distribution network estimation path and change pattern were identified through the study of the network of the three iron types (plate, casting, forging) used as practical tools among the exca- vated iron parts in Gimhae, and it is divided into four stages. Stage I was from the late 1st century B.C. to the mid 2nd century A.D., and through exchanges with political groups in the Midwest and eastern Yeongnam, iron parts were processed and distributed through danya processes in small villages in Haebancheon Stream and Jomangang River. Stage II is in the late 2nd to late 3rd centuries, and Yeancheon Stream and Hwapocheon groups use the Sobaeksan Mountain transportation route to serve as trade routes between the midwest and the southeast of Yeongnam, and indirect exchanges between Gimhae and Honam forces are prevalent. Stage III is from the first half of the 4th century to the early 5th century, and a redistribution network is formed in the Haesa-ri area through smelting and refining processes → iron storage in the lower part of the Joman River, and the consumer group → Bonghwang earthen fortification. In the Ⅳ stage, Yeorae-ri steel base was established in the 5th centu- ry, a local market is formed around a charcoal kiln, merges with the Jomanogang River through Bonghwang earthen fortification. therefore, Geumgwan Gaya seems to have embraced the a Royal gift system through the distribution of powerful products such as steel technology and Jin gold belt based on a kind of long-distance trade for Hansung Baekje with trading Iron ax. In other words, it is transformed into an intermediate base for trade with the Nakdonggang River, Baekje, the eastern forces of Honam, and Japan by establishing and control- ling the solidarity and distribution network with small and medium-sized towns and villages through Cylinder bronzeware. In the 5th century, as the value of Iron ax declined and the function of Bonghwangtoseong Fortress as an intermediate point due to the supply and demand of the surrounding powers, foreign trade stagnated, but the local market distribution network consisting of consumption sites was maintained.
