고시가에 나타난 두 세계관

국문 초록

한국시가의 전개를 이해하기 위한 방법으로서 현실주의와 관념주의라는 두 축을 설정하고 이를 향가와 시조에서 구체적으로 확인하고자 하였다. 문학을 인간의 삶에 대한 구체적 반응양식이라고 본다면 그 궁극적인 반응의 기저는 결국 각 개인의 삶의 양식에 좌우되는데 이 인간의 삶에 대한 반응은 크게 두 가지로 대별되며 그 하나가 관념지향이고 다른 하나는 현실지향이라고 할 수 있다. 우리는 삶의 현장에서 현실 자체에 충실하면서 시선을 현실에 집중시키고 구체적인 반응을 보일 때 현실감각을 얻고 현실세계보다는 관념적 이상을 추구할 때 이상향을 얻는다.심리학에서 말하는 외향형과 내향형, 유물론과 관념론, 고전주의와 낭만주의 등은 바로 이러한 두 현상이 밖으로 나타난 것이라고 할 수 있다.이 원리는 한국 고시가에서도 잘 나타나고 있다. 즉 4구체 향가는 현장성의 바탕 위에서 구체적 현실을 포착하고 있고 이와 반대로 10구체 향가는 종교중심, 관념주의로 나타나고 있어서 대립된다. 한편 평시조는 유교윤리에 입각한 보편의식이 선행하고 있고 관념적 이상세계에 종속된 보편적 인식, 삶의 현장에서가 아니라 선험적 관념에 의해서 쓰여진 문학이었다. 사설시조는 현실 그 자체가 소재이며 지향점이라는 점에서 평시조와 변별된다. 즉 사설시조는 사물을 보는 시각이 개념체의 것이 아니라 구상체의 것이며 삶과 밀접하게 관계하면서 체득한 개체의 정서를 포착한 것이었다.평시조의 인식방법이 보편성에 입각한 감정의 절제와 유교이념에 의한 관념상의 세계를 추구했다고 한다면 사설시조는 삶의 현장에서 체험되는 구체적인 현실의 세계를 추구하고 있었던 것이다.

영문 초록

To understand the unfold of the Korean Poetry, the writer establishmented two pillars -Realism & Idealism- and intentioned to confirmation it in the Hyang-ga and Si-jo. If the Literature is the concrete reaction to the life of the human, it depends on the methods of the life. The one is Idealism and another is Realism. When we sell out and response to the reality, we gain real sensibility and when we pursue the Ideality we gain the ideal Utopia. The Extroversion and Introversion in the psychology, the Materialism and Idelism in the philosophy, the Classicism and Romanticism in the literary thoughts are the result of the two phenomenons. This principle appears in the Korean old poetry well. The two line Hyang-ga expressed the reality based on the field, but the five line Hyang-ga is focused on the religion and idealism. So they are opposed to each other. While there are the universal concept based on the Confucian ideas in the Pyong-Sijo, so it is written by not the real field but the transcendental idealism. The material of the Saseol-Sijo is the real field itself, and it made it the purpose. The sense of sight of the Saseol-Sijo is not the notion, but the concreteness. And it gained the emotion of the individual which is closely related to the real life. The method of recognition of the Pyong-Sijo was the moderation of the feeling based on the universality and it searched the idealism, on the other hand the Saseol-sijo searched the concrete realism which is experienced by the real field of the life.
