포석 조명희 시에 나타난 고아의식 小考

국문 초록

본 연구는 포석 조명희의 시에 나타난 고아의식을 고찰해 보겠다. 1988년 납 . 월북 문인들의 작품이 해금이 되면서 포석의 문학도 관심의 대상이 되지만, 함께 해금이 된 다른 문인들의 연구 성과에 비해 미진한 감이 없지 않다. 그 이유는 포석의 문학이 장르를 초월하여 다양하다는 점과 그가 밟았던 정치적 행보 때문이다. 그러나 인간의 삶 자체가 정치적인 환경과 무관할 수 없으며, 시대적인 소명의식에 예민한 시인으로서 당연한 실천적 선택이라고 할 수 있다. 더구나 오늘날 한국 문학의 화두가 세계화라는 것을 감안한다면, 그가 러시아에 뿌린 한국 문학의 혼은 그 의미가 남다를 수밖에 없다. 포석은 정치성이 짙은 현실인식을 바탕으로 지사적 풍모를 가진 시인이다. 포석의 시 작품에는 모성과 땅, 그리고 고향 상실로 현실을 아파하는 시들이 많이 있다. 지사적인 그의 성격과 견주어 볼 때, 주목할 만한 대목이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본고는 모성과 땅, 고향은 시원적인 공간으로써, 생명의 탄생과 귀의처라는데 주목을 했다. 또 포석의 시에서 이들 세 시원적 공간이 고아의식으로 확대된 것을 고찰했다. 그러나 포석의 고아의식은 일정한 굴절을 경유하면서 자아의 본래성을 찾아 가는 내면 의식을 보인다. 즉 고아의식으로 자폐적인 공간에 빠져 현실과 유리된 세계에 안주하지 않았다. 내면과 실존적으로 마주하는 시간을 가짐으로써, 결국 상실의 아픔을 통해 굳건한 현실 인식을 획득하게 되는 과정을 밟고 있다는 것이다.

영문 초록

This study reviews a sense of orphanhood in Posuk Cho, Myung Hee's poems. When bans on literature whose writers went to or were kidnapped to North Korea lifted in 1988, his work also attracted interest. However, researches on his literature have been somewhat unsatisfactory. This is because he created a variety of works transcending genres. His political walking also affected this. However, human beings' life cannot be irrelevant to political environment and it was a natural, practical choice for a poet sensitive to the needs of his times. Moreover, considering that the present topic in the Korean literary world is “globalization”, it can be said that the spirit of Korean literature he spread in Russia is extraordinary. Posuk was a patriotic poet who showed activism in his political walking. He wrote many poems depicting sufferings due to the loss of maternity, the earth and hometown. This is a notable point comparing his patriotic characteristics. Accordingly, this study pays attention to the fact that maternity, the earth and hometown is the origin where a life is born and returns. In addition, this paper examines the fact the reality losing those three places of origin escalate into the sense of orphanhood. However, his orphanhood shows the inner mind that discovers the nature of ego going through a certain refraction. That is, he does not settle down a world isolated from the reality sinking into autistic space out of orphanhood. By having time to be faced with the inner mind, he afterall undergoes a process of obtaining a strong sense of reality through the pain of loss.
