문단 위계성에 대한 인식 양상 연구

국문 초록

본고는 읽기 교육의 틀에서 학습자들의 문단 간 의미 위계에 대한 이해 양상을 고찰하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이는 학습자들 간 문단 위계에 대한 인식 및 텍스트 갈래 간 문단 위계 인식이라는 두 가지 연구가설을 바탕으로, 고등학교 1학년 학습자들을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 표집 대상 학습자들은 언어 수행 능력에 있어 일정한 차이를 보이는 두 집단으로 구성되었다. 구체적으로 두 가지 연구가설은 첫 번째, “학습자들 간에 합일된 문단 위계 인식 양상이 있을 것이다”이고, 두 번째, “텍스트 갈래에 따른 문단 위계 인식 양상은 차이가 있을 것이다”이다. 두 가지 연구가설 중 학습자들 간의 합일된 문단 위계에 대한 인식 양상의 결과는 수용, 텍스트 갈래 간의 인식에 대한 결과는 기각되었다. 즉 문단 위계의 이해에 대해서는 학습자들 간에 일정 부분 공통된 이해 결과의 양상을 보였고, 갈래 간 문단 위계의 이해에서는 차이가 없는 것으로 드러났다. 즉 본고는 텍스트 거시구조 측면의 이해에서 문단 간 의미 위계에 대한 읽기 교육 관점의 몇몇 이론적, 실천적 문제를 국어교육의 현장 연구 조사 관점에서 제기했다는 점과 특히 읽기 교육에서 문단 중심의 실증적 연구로 시발점이 될 수 있다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다. 다만 거시구조의 도식화 양상에 대한 보다 정교한 방법론적 고찰에 대한 필요성이 과제로 남았다.

영문 초록

This study is a tentative discussion on understanding of text macrostructures. An understanding of macrostructures is very important on text comprehension. The relativity of semantic hierarchy is very difficult problem to resolve in understanding of macrostructrues. Therefore the necessity of some diagrams is to show for understanding text macrostructures. With this in mind, this study treats comprehension of students in the aspects of text macrostructures. The subjects are sampled. They are highschool 1’st graders and consisted of two groups depending on the different language performance ability. Two hypotheses are based on semantic hierarchy among paragraphs and cognition aspects according to genre. Concretely, the first hypothesis is that recognition respect of paragraph hierarchical unity among learners will be. The second hypothesis is that recognition respect of paragraph hierarchical according to text genre will be different among learners. As a result, The first hypothesis is accepted but the second hypothesis is rejected. Based on the results, we will conclude that cognition results of semantic hierarchy among paragraphs are related with some aspects of macrostructures comprehension. And this paper is significant that it is an starting point of empirical research of paragraph-oriented. But there are limits to theorize them. Therefore the necessity of more elaborate method about diagrams is raised in a later study.
