국문 초록

이 글은 『82년생 김지영』을 정동적 ‘되기’의 관점에서 주목해 소설이 지닌 서사 구성의 원리를 문학주체를 주조하는 기술적 요인으로 분석한다. 정동(affect)은 힘을 주고받는 존재들 사이에 형성되는 초개체적 관계성과 그 힘의 증감, 주체의 ‘되기’라는 형성적·과정적 양태를 강조하고 의미화하는 개념이다. 소위 ‘정동하고 정동되는 몸의 능력’으로 표현되며, 이러한 ‘정동됨(연결)’을 ‘정동하는 능력(행위)’으로 변용하는 정치적·윤리적 주체화의 형식과 과정을 분석하는 것이 정동의 대표적 쓰임이라 할 수 있다. 정동은 예측불가능성과 비인칭적·비본질적 특징을 필수적으로 갖지만 마주침(encounter)의 흔적과 그 축적이 세계를 재고하는 교육-미학적 효과를 낳는다는 점에서 동시대를 설명하는 주요 개념틀이 되며, 『82년생 김지영』은 이를 가능하게 하는 정동 장치로서의 내밀한 구조를 지니고 있다. 『82년생 김지영』은 우리 사회에서 페미니스트 주체의 생산과 운동 흐름의 분화를 포함해 다양한 문학·문화사적 계기와 담론들을 형성했는데, 이러한 ‘현상’으로서의 『82년생 김지영』은 ‘공감’이라는 포획된 정서에 기반한 여성 주체의 각성과 연대를 설명하는 것이 되기에 앞서 그것을 가능하게 하는 요인을 텍스트 내적으로 구조화하고 있다는 점을 구체적으로 논할 필요가 있다. 이 글에서 다룬 정동적 ‘되기’는 소설-독자의 상호 참조와 상호 조직을 가능하게 하는 인식론적 실천으로서의 자기 재정보화로, 소설의 특징인 통계수치 인용과 같은 독자 동반출현 기술과 젠더화된 공간의 학제화·생애주기화는 이러한 ‘되기’를 추동하는 주요 동력이다. 한편『82년생 김지영』에 등장하는 ‘빙의’는 김지영의 몸이 자신의 주체성을 매끈하게 비워낸 공간이 아닌, 단독자이면서도 타자와 항상적으로 연결되어 있는 관계적 존재라는 점을 강조하는 장치이다. 이는 소설이 김지영의 삶을 대신 이야기하는 의사와, 자신의 주변을 살았던 여성을 대신 이야기하는 김지영과, 현실의 여성을 대신 이야기하는 텍스트 『82년생 김지영』이라는 복합 구조를 체현하고 있으며, 이러한 서사 구성의 원리가 소설 안팎으로 새로운 문학주체를 구성하는 자기조직체계를 만들어내고 있다는 점을 환기한다. 『82년생 김지영』은 우리 사회에서 정동적 주체(들)의 발작적 출현의 징후를 보여주는 텍스트로, 이 글은 소설이 지닌 운동성을 현상이나 담론의 맥락이 아닌 서사 내적 원리로 논하고자 하는 시도이다.

영문 초록

This article focused on Kim Jiyoung, born 1982 from the perspective of affective ‘becoming’ and tried to analyze the principle of narrative composition of the novel as a technical factor that molds the subject of literature. Affect is expressed as ‘force’ or ‘encounter of forces’ and ‘the capacity of the body to affected and to be affected’. In addition, it is a concept that analyzes the form of political and ethical subjectification that transforms this ‘being affected(connection)’ into ‘the ability to affect(action)’. Affect has unpredictability, impersonal and non-essential characteristics as essential. However, in that the traces of encounters and their accumulation create pedagogical- aesthetic effects of reconsidering the world, they are the main concepts that explain contemporaries. Kim Jiyoung, born 1982 has a structure as an affective apparatus that makes this possible. Kim Jiyoung, born 1982 has formed various literary and cultural discourses such as the production and movement of feminist subjects in our society. Before explaining the awakening and solidarity of female subjects based on the captured affect as ‘empathy’, Kim Ji-young, born 1982 as a ‘phenomenon’ should be discussed in text's internal structure detail. The affective ‘becoming’ discussed in this article is an epistemological practice that enables the cross-reference and mutual organization of novel-readers which means means ‘self-reinformatization’. The novel drives this ‘becoming’ by citing statistical figures or by timing genderized spaces. On the other hand, the “possession” that appears in Kim Ji-young, born 1982 is a device that emphasizes that Kim Jiyoung's body is not a empty space where her subjectivity has disappeared, but a relational existence that is always connected to “the other” while being single person. Kim Jiyoung, born 1982 has latent structures creates a “self-organizing system” that constitutes a new literary subject inside and outside the novel. Kim Jiyoung, born 1982 is a text that shows signs of a seizure of affective subject in our society, and this article was an attempt to discuss the motility of the novel at a technical level, not in the context of a phenomenon or discourse.
