국내외 대학의 한국(어) 관련 학과의 과목 편성 비교

국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 국내외 대학의 한국(어) 관련 학과에 편성된 과목들을 조사하여 드러나는 양상을 비교 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법: 국립국어원이 제공하는 자료를 가지고 한국(어) 관련 학과가 있는 국내 대학의 편성 과목들과 한국국제교류재단 통계 센터가 제공하는 자료를 가지고 한국(어) 관련 학과가 있는 국외 대학의 편성 과목들을 조사하여 비교 분석하였다. 결과: 국내 대학에서는 주로 한국어 교원 자격 요건으로 제시된 다섯 영역의 과목들이 편성되어 있었고, 국외 대학에서는 한국어 사용 능력을 기르기 위한 한국어 학습 과목들이 가장 많이 편성되어 있었다. 결론: 한국어 교육의 통합브랜드화나 한국(어) 관련 학과에 진학하는 외국인 학습자들의 수가 증가하는 등의 변화를 반영하여 국내와 국외를 막론하고 유기적이고 통합적인 과목 편성이 적극 고려되어야 한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate and compare the subjects opened in Korean language departments of both domestic and foreign countries, in order to find to-be subjects integrated and organized worldwide following current trends. Methods: In order to accomplish this research purpose, data sources were collected from current opened classes for Korea or Korean studies in all domestic universities provided by National Institute of Korean Language and in all universities of foreign countries provided by Korean Foundation. Collected data were analyzed to find common and different points through subjects opened in domestic and overseas organization. Results: The findings of data analysis showed that-1) Subjects opened in domestic organization mainly focus on academic areas related to be Korean teachers, while subjects opened in foreign countries are more related to learn Korean. 2) Both organizations opened more ‘Korean Literature’ than other subjects, which seems both consider ‘literature’ area is key to learn Korean. 3) Foreign organizations opened translation classes much more than in domestic organizations. Conclusion: Some common facts and different facts are found in Korean study organization in domestic and foreign countries. It is advisable that current trends - increasing foreign students in domestic organization etc. - should be considered when considering the subjects to-be opened in both organizations.
