중·고급 단계 한국어 학습자를 위한 슬로리딩 수업 방안 연구

국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 한국어 중·고급 단계 학습자를 위한 슬로리딩 수업 방안을 제시하고 그 교육 효과를 검증하는데 그 목적이 있다. 슬로리딩 학습법은 하나의 작품을 온전하게 읽고 이해하고 여러 가지 방법으로 표현하는 것이다. 한국어교육에서는 다문화가정의 학습자를 위한 슬로리딩 학습법은 시행된 바 있으나 국내외 대학에서 한국어를 배우는 학습자를 대상으로 한 슬로리딩 교육 방안은 제시되지 않았다. 방법: 이에 본 연구에서는 한국어 학습자 중에서도 국외에서 한국어를 전공하는 중·고급 단계 학습자들이 한국 문학 작품을 천천히 재미있게 온전하게 읽으면서 학습할 수 있는 슬로리딩 교육 방안을 설계하고 제시하여 학습 효과를 검증해 보고자 한다. 결과: 김유정의 [봄봄]을 선정하여 8주간의 슬로리딩 수업 결과 학습자들은 한국 문학 작품을 읽을 수 있어 보람을 느끼고 읽기 능력 향상에 도움이 되었다고 하였다. 그러나 지금과 다른 관용어, 사투리, 비속어 등을 이해하는 데 어려움을 느끼면서 여전히 한국어로 된 문학 작품을 읽는 것에 부담을 느낀다고 하였다. 결론: 이에 향후 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 하는 슬로리딩 교수·학습에서는 학습자 수준에 맞는 작품을 선정하고 충분한 수업 시수를 확보하여 교수·학습을 진행하는 것이 필요해 보인다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to present a slow-reading lesson plan for advanced level Korean learners. The slow-reading learning method is to fully read and understand a work and to express it in various ways. Among Korean language education, the slow-reading learning method for learners from multicultural families has been proposed and implemented, but there has been no proposal for the slow-reading education method for learners learning Korean at domestic and foreign universities. Method: Therefore, in this study, among Korean learners, intermediate/advanced level learners who are learning Korean abroad can learn by designing and suggesting a slow-reading education plan that allows them to read one or two books slowly and thoroughly in a cool way. We want to verify the effectiveness. Result: As a result of the 8-week class, the learners said that they felt rewarding because they were able to read literature through slow reading and that they had fun in writing. However, he said that he still felt burdened with reading literary works and had difficulties with Korean traditional expressions, idioms, and dialects. Conclusion: Therefore, in the future slow-reading teaching/learning targeting Korean learners, it seems necessary to select a work suitable for the learner’s level and secure sufficient number of hours for teaching/learning.
