국문 초록

목적: 이 연구의 목적은 초등 학습자의 자기서사 그림책 창작 활동 과정에서 드러난 학습자의 자기 이해 양상을 탐색하는데 있다. 방법: 초등학교 6학년 학생들을 대상으로 자기서사 그림책 창작 지도를 실시한 뒤, 참여자 관찰, 면담 및 비개입 자료를 수집하여 자기 이해 양상을 질적으로 분석하였다. 결과: 자기서사 그림책 창작 과정에 나타난 학습자의 자기 이해 양상은 첫째, 새로운 자기 자신의 발견이다. 학습자들은 자신의 경험을 구체적으로 회상하여 네러티브를 구성하고, 그 과정에서 자신에 대한 낯설고 새로운 모습을 발견하였다. 둘째, 학습자들은 글과 그림을 활용하여 자신을 상징적 혹은 은유적으로 표현하여, 자신의 마음이나 기분, 성격이나 태도와 같은 관념적인 의식이나 경향을 파악하였다. 셋째, 자기서사 그림책을 친구들에게 소개하고, 수정 보완해 가는 과정을 통해 자신에 대해 다면적으로 파악하였다. 자기 자신을 보다 다양한 관점에서 바라보려는 시도를 하였고, 이는 자신에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓히는 효과를 나타내었다. 결론: 자기서사를 활용한 그림책 창작 교육은 학습자의 자기 이해를 확장하고 자기 정체성을 탐색하는 유용한 활동이 될 수 있으며, 이는 문학교육을 통한 학생 주도성 교육의 방안이 될 수 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to conduct self-narrative picture book creating creation education based on the consideration of literary education in the future society, and to explore the learner’s self-understanding aspects revealed in this process. Methods: To this end, after self-narrative picture book creating education was conducted for 6th graders of elementary school, observation, interview, and non-intervention data were collected and self-understanding patterns qualitatively were analyzed. Results: The self- understanding aspect that appeared in the process of creating is, first, self- discovery through the connection of experiences. In the process of recalling experiences, learners discovered the connection between experiences and found a new self. Second, it is self-awareness through symbolic expre- ssion. In the process of expression using picture books, learners showed that they recognized themselves through their own expressions. Third, it is self- expanding through circular under-standing. In the process of sharing, learners go through a circular under-standing, which is revealed as a form of self-expansion. Conclusion: The education on the creation of self-narrative picture book creatin can be a practical alternative to the education of self-understanding necessary in the literary education.
